The moon was high over Gwellian, not a cloud in the sky, lighting the city in a pale silver light. Everything was still and silent except for the wind and a song that carried along it. The center of it's song a small dark furred cat who sat in the rafters of the Main Street Tavern. Auri had been playing her lute for hours but had finally switched to the half harp that the strange innkeeper with yellow-sun eyes had given her. Sighing the blue-grey she cat brushed the locks of curling hair covering her face to look at the moon. Only to have them fall back into place as she looked down at the half harp in her paws. Smiling a secretive smile, she decided to play a song familiar to her, one of the first songs her mentor taught her. Smiling she began to play the harp and sing in a gentle, sweet voice. Lips ripe as the berries in June, Red the rose, red the rose, Fur pale as the light of the moon, Gently as she goes... She continued to sing this song, lost in her imagination and memories. Completely un-aware that she was not the only cat that was awake in the dead of night. When the drunks had all but fallen asleep.

The streets of the whole town were shining and glowing with all the hand crafted lanterns, and the full moon that hung in the sky. Sky had slipped away from the festival to take a late night stroll through the streets. She came across the tavern.
She could hear the drunkards singing some sort of song, and cheering and shouting even from the outside. Sky was just about to move on, when an unusual sound met her ears...singing! she thought and stared at the tavern harder to try to make out were the melodies were coming from, as if she might see the notes escaping through the window or the door. Thanks to all the light, from the glow of the lanterns to the shine of the moon, she noticed a hole in the tavern roof. With quick and experienced moves, Sky made her way up to there; balancing on all fours as she glanced down into the hole. The music was definitely coming from the, what looked like, tavern attic. Sky decided to take a peek, so she hung her head into the hole, and she was surprised to see another she-cat in the tavern attic. The cat hadn't noticed her yet, and she hadn't finished her song so Sky kept on listening, waiting politely. even with her head hanging upside down.

Auri heard a rustle on the roof, her ears pricking up in nervousness and her tail lashed against the floor boards in fear. But she reminded herself that it was probably just a rat. Before continuing her song. As the wind rushed through the hole in the roof of the rafters. Eyes blue as the sea and the sky, Water flows, water flows, Heart running like fire in the night, Gently as she goes- Auri stopped in mid sentence as a roofing tile smashed into the attic floor, causing her too screech and turn wildly, pale eyes glaring from under the hood of curling hair that covered her face. The sight of a cat lying on the ground in front of her causing her to screech wildly and run into the shadows of the rafters, climbing onto the roof supports. Too stare down quietly at this new invasion of her home.

Sky thought she could feel the boards lean a little with her weight, but she ignored that and continued to listen to the she cat singing. Suddenly she could feel cracks moving up to her on the boards, and she went plummeting down into the attic.
Sky shrieked too, though she didn't know why. When the owner of the song got up and climbed up somewhere, Sky, who was a little shaken, and shook her fur and got up. She looked around, trying to locate the singer, though here it was dark.
" I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fall, i just heard you singing and it was so pretty that i-" she broke of in embarrassment.

Auri's fur bristled in fear as she balanced on her place in the rafters. Her light body causing no trouble for the old rafters. Thinking quick she summoned her best trouper's voice. The troupers had invented the stage whisper a voice that could be heard over a crowded taproom without knowing who had spoke. She began to speak the more cracked part of herself showing through. "Are you Scratcher? Biter? Hunter? Kindler?" She screeched in her stage whisper.
Wary of the cat with the leaf-eyes. She prowled silently along in the shadows of the rafters. "Howler? Breaker? Screecher?" She squeaked. Warily stalking across the rafters till she hung from the rafter over the cat, her eyes shining pale through her curtain of hair. Like a ghost.

Sky was confused," Sorry who? " she replied in a cautious tone. A breeze entered the attic, making some of the hanging materials swoosh. It was a little scary there, with the stranger.
" No, no! I'm Sky Starlock.." she said to no one in particular. But the cat didn't look convinced. " A hunter..." she hinted, wondering if the cat knew her somehow.

Auri sniffed, forcing her mind into a mind reading spell. She felt this cat was telling the truth from what the feeling of the she-cat's mind showed. Sniffing quietly from her spot above the she-cat in the rafter she spoke in her stage whispering voice. "Does Hunter know the name of the Water, Stone and Wind?" She asked questioningly, her pale eyes blinking as she scurried quietly along the shadows.
"Or does the hunter demand a question answered before she answers mine?" She asked as she leapt quietly up to a higher rafter, where she kept her lute. Sniffing she sat and watched the grass-eyed cat. Waiting for an answer as it looked around trying to spot her in the darkness.

Sky decided to try to talk to her the same way as she was talking, too. "No, Hunter doesn't know cats by the name of Water, Stone and Wind." Sky said slowly. " Who are you?" Sky was curious, though a little afraid, because she had never met a cat like this.
" I didn't want to interrupt you, i am sorry.." Sky said cautiously.

Auri giggled at the cat's misconception of names, "I mean the name of Water, Wind and Stone. It is under your paws and in the air." She giggled again, her pale eyes shining in the shadows. Tilting her head to the side, her ears pricked up. "I have many names; I am the Willow, Widow and Broken tree. But the ground-cats call me Auri." she chirped.
Dropping of the rafter she landed lightly on the floor in the shadows next to her half harp. "I'm searching for the name of the Wind." She sighed, as she laid on the floor and lightly strung a quiet, gentle melody on the half harp. Her extremely pale eyes now visible in the shadows.

Sky giggled herself, the tension slowly ebbing away. " I thought those were cats' names." she smiled shyly. " So i should call you Auri? That's a beautiful name..." Sky gasped. It truly was. " You are a musician?" She asked another question, watching as Auri sat down with the harp. "Who is Wind? Is he a cat?"

Auri sniffed, brushing the curly locks of fur out of her face. "If that's your name for me yes." She whispered, strumming her paw lightly along the harp strings in thought before looking up at the brown shaped blob that she could see with her fading eyesight.
Snorting, Auri let out a light wailing giggle. Before going back to the half-harp in her paws. "No I am trouper and Wind is not cat." A tiny smile gracing her face in the pale light. "What do you have in your pack hunter?" She smiled, "If you trade me something and I will give you a song written by a piece of the moon." She suggested, pointing a dainty paw at the moon shining through the roof.

Sky smiled. " Ok then, Auri" She watched as Auri brushed the half-harp, and sniffed. Sky faintly noticed that Auri's eyes were very pale. " Auri? Can you see me?" she asked suddenly.
Sky smiled, aware that this cat may be a trader as well as a trouper. " I have 3 rabbits and 2 squirrels in my pack." she glanced at the moon then at Auri, and noticed that her eyes really were the color of the moon. " What sort of song?" Sky asked, sitting down.

Auri pushed the curling locks of fur out of her face and squinted her pale eyes at the she-cat that sat across from her. "Hmmm a little bit..." Auri hummed contentedly as she answered the she-cats question. Before twisting some of the harp's tuning pegs.
Looking up Auri smiled. "That is a fine trade, for that trade I will give you a song, a jar of the moon's eye and a fish that thinks it's a lettuce." She chirped. Before tuning the harp a bit more and tilting her head. "A song to call the wind." Auri grinned.

Sky smiled as she watched Auri, she liked seeing cat content, even if they have a defect. "You know, you are very pretty, and your eyes are too."Sky smiled. She watched as Auri, played the harp.
Sky grinned she deposited her prey onto the floor and pushed it to Auri, "Yes, i would like that. Just hold on for a second, i want to write it down, the song."Sky fumbled for her sketchbook and quill; when she got them out, she was ready to start writing.

Auri shook her head, a gentle yet offended smile on her face. "Oh no no. These songs are not to be written and shared to the many. It would offend the moon." She whispered, gesturing to the sky with a dark and dainty paw. Swiftly reaching out she moved the writing equipment gently yet quickly to the side. Before going back to tuning the pegs, before strumming lightly on the string. Nodding, pleased. She began to play the harp with deft and dainty paws as she sang: I hear your voice on the wind And I hear you call out my name
"Listen, my child," you say to me "I am the voice of your history Be not afraid, come follow me Answer my call, and I'll set you free"
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain I am the voice of your hunger and pain I am the voice that always is calling you I am the voice, I will remain
I am the voice in the fields when the summer's gone The dance of the leaves when the autumn winds blow Ne'er do I sleep thoughout all the cold winter long I am the force that in springtime will grow
I am the voice of the past that will always be Filled with my sorrow and blood in my fields I am the voice of the future, bring me your peace Bring me your peace, and my wounds, they will heal
I am the voice in the wind and the pouring rain I am the voice of your hunger and pain I am the voice that always is calling you I am the voice
((OOC: In the end of the rp I'll give you the names of the songs.))
