When bragi had gone quite aisling had thought for sure she had upset him or ruined things. Surely she had said the wrong thing, perhaps even turned him away from her altogether. As she started to get uncomfortable the eloquent tom quelled her fears altogether, he spoke words in a way that made her insides grow warm and butterflies danced inside them. As he spoke she felt her checks warm and she sat a little astounded. He was simple........ well just so sweet! How any tom like this wasn't already taken by some overly protective she-cat was beyond aisa as she sat a little bewildered. They came to a stop just before the tavern and he allowed her down and she adjusted her pack and her things, she took her lamp a blew out the light and place the small thing along the strap of her satchel. As Bragi spoke to her once more in his own poetic nature she couldn't help but feel that bewildered smile creep uponher face. Suddenly she seezed the tom by the neck in a hug practically having to leap up to do so. "Thank you Bragi, I haven't heard words like that since I last saw my brother. And you do remind me so of him..." She hoped down and gave him a giant smile, she wrapped her arm around his and allowed him to grab open the door. As they stepped inside the warm tavern they stood their a moment to let their sight adjust. "My they are busier than I expected." Aisling proclaimed, the tavern seemed packed with all sort of cat this evening. Some were drunk and singing, others looked deep in talk of gossip, business, or else wise and other just looked happy to be in from the chilly night air. The smells of warm fresh bread, mead, cooking stew, and a slew of other things floated in the air. The crackling fire, clink clang of dishes and boisterous noises only added to the warm atmosphere. Aisling gazed around the room taking in a familiar face or two, as she scanned for an empty table. "Ah what luck bragi, there is a table to the side of the fireplace just there!" she motioned to the left back side of the room, a small table sat empty, perfect for them to snatch up!

Bragi let out a startled chuckle, stepping back slightly when Aisling took hold of him, looping her arms around his shoulders and squeezing tight. He returned the embrace, hugging her gently before taking a step back, regarding her warmly. "You are quite welcome Aisling. I fear you do not hear words like that enough." She beamed at him before grasping at his arm. Bragi held it out to her, allowing her to loop her forearm around his. He grinned at her. "Shall we?" The pair entered the Main Street Tavern, Bragi propping open the door to allow Aisling to step past him into the busy pub.
"My, they are busier than I expected."

Bragi laughed, leading the two of them them carefully through the throng of cats. "My dear, somenight I shall bring you here when nary a cat in Gweillan is at home. During a festival, there are line-ups out the door!" The smell of hot food drifted through the air, making Bragi's mouth water as they searched for a seat. He turned when Aisling pointed to the small table near the hearth, big enough only for a pair, which explained why it sat empty; most of the cats present tonight were in larger groups. "What luck indeed!" He agreed, pulling her along as he made a bee-line for the table. They took a seat, Bragi pulling out a chair for Aisling before lifting his lute from his shoulders and leaning it carefully against the stone wall by the fireplace. "I'll be right back," He meowed, disappearing into the crowd. Bragi returned a few minutes later with two mugs of mead in one paw, and a heaping plate of bread, cheese and chicken balanced in the other. Placing everything on the table, Bragi took a seat. "Forgive me, but I couldn't hold the bowl of stew with one paw. Too hot." He gestured down at what he'd brought. "If we're still hungry after this, then I shall fetch us some." Bragi then took hold of his mead, lifting the mug in a toast. "To new friends, song and dance!" He clanged his cup against hers before taking a swig, licking his lips and sighing dramatically. "There's nothing like a mug of mead after a long walk," He meowed, winking at Aisling and taking another drink. "Now, I do believe you asked me a question back there on the road, before you took a tumble. I would answer it now." He smiled at her. "You asked about my music. All I can say is that muse is a fickle thing. Many of my songs are inspired by experiences that I have had, and then some are written in the moment, like the one you heard me singing earlier. It just came to me, I suppose." Bragi cocked his head, eyes bright. "I do hope that is a sufficient answer."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"]

Aisling took the seat he offered her as she mulled over what he said, she simply couldn't imagine it more packed! She watched him disappear into the crowd she waited anxiously, laughing merrily at the drunken singing cats and those stumbling here and there. Like smoke he appeared again, with food and drink for them both. As he settled in and took a swig he playfully sighed and commented on his mead. She took a sip gingerly herself, letting it sit on her tastebuds enjoying the flavors. "You asked aboutmy music.." he remarked thoughtfully as he recalled her earlier question and answered it. " I would never be able to write beautiful things like you! "She spoke earnestly, "Although I am not much when it comes to writing anyways! Oh my, I must go of to the powder room, do pardon me a momet!" She gave him a wink as she sauntered of into the crowd. She took a different detour though, heading to the kitchens and getting the chef, she gave him a few more coin than necessarily and asked him for his finest cake, asking he give her two pieces. After a few minutes he brought her back some slices of an already made cake, she nabbed the trays and headed back to bragi. "Well", she spoke a she came up to the table, "I know it's a little sudden, but here is a sweet meat, for the holiday and all. " She shyly put it on the table and took her seat once more. Glancing over to gauge his reaction.

Bragi let out a merry laugh. "I thank you Milady, but apologies if I do not believe you." He meowed, when she spoke of his music, and commented that she would never be able to measure up. "If you applied yourself, I believe you could accomplish anything Aisling."
"Oh my, I must go off to the powder room, do pardon me a moment!"

Bragi made no attempt to hide his interest as he watched Aisling stand, grinning when she sent a wink his way before sauntering off. "You are pardoned!" He called after her, watching as she disappeared into the crowd. Bragi sat back, and took another swig of mead, popping the last of the cheese into his mouth. He gazed out into the crowd, not really focusing on anything as his mind wandered. Aisling was truly a wonderful she-cat. She was witty, intelligent, charming and truly ardent. That she was beautiful as well was the cherry on top of the cake. Bragi swilled the mead at the bottom of his mug around, smiling to himself. He had only known her for a few hours, yet his mind was set on learning more about her. Already he was thinking about a next time. Perhaps they could visit the Palace again, or venture up to Rithengar for an afternoon... He was snapped out of his thoughts when Aisling's lithe form reappeared, two plates in paw. Two lovely looking slices of cake sat atop the plates, adorned with chocolate frosting and one cherry apiece. He watched as she set the cakes down and took her seat, smiling shyly at him. "Well... I know it's a little sudden, but here is a sweet meal, for the holiday and all." A bright smile lit up Bragi's face as he reached over to take a plate for himself. "I'm not sure how you knew about my love for chocolate," He said happily, "But I am not complaining!" Leaning across the table, Bragi planted a soft kiss on Aisling's cheek. He sat back and met her soft gaze. "Thank you very much Aisling. You truly are a wonder."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"]

THe smile on Bragi's face encouraged a flutter in her chest. That handsome devil; he had her heart yet. Such a strange turn of events. Only a few hours earlier she had been planning to come home alone after a hard day of work. Sit by herself, read a bit and then go to bed. This as certainly more of an evening than she had ever thought it'd be. Quite frankly she didn't want it to end. She wanted to see him again, as she went to take a nibble of her cake slice; he took her by surprise. Planting a kiss on her cheek. At that moment she felt as though her heart was audible, beating so loud and hard in her chest it'd burst. She looked at him and could not stop the smile that spread along her face. "Bragi, I-...", she looked down a moment then back at him. "Your such a sly devil, sneaking kisses from helpless injured she cats who fall!" she teased. "Why next for all I know you'll be dragging me on the dance floor to tire me out! I've got you figured out now! Your just trying to steal my heart! " She chuckled, tail swishing back and forth. She took a bit of her cake and a swig of her mead. Taking a second to enjoy the flavors of each.

Bragi chuckled. "Ah dear lady, you've caught me. 'Twas always my intention to whisk it away!" Bragi held out his wrists towards Aisling, continuing dramatically. "Take me away to the Shades, for I fear I shall never stop my wooing if you do not!" He sent a wink her way, pulling his paws back after a moment. "I jest, of course. I'd very much like to stay here with you. The dungeon is a bit dreary, I think." He paused thoughtfully. "I do hope that that was an invitation to take you to the dance floor; at least, once we've finished our food." He glanced down at his plate, picking up a utensil. Spooning the last bit of his dessert into his mouth, Bragi leaned back and moaned appreciatively. " Thanky you again Aisling. I haven't had a cake like that in a very long time." He said gratefully, wiping stray icing from his mouth and brushing a few crumbs off the table. "Not since moving to the Kingdom anyway..."Bragi fell silent for a moment, reflecting on his time with Sasha. She had loved to bake, and he would often come home from gathering herbs or firewood to find pies cooling on the windowsill. Bragi shook his head to clear it, returning to the present. He placed his paws on the table, bracing himself as he stood up. "Now,"He meowed, holding out a paw. "I believe you owe me a dance?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"]

"I do hope that that was an invitation to take you to the dance floor; at least, once we've finished our food." She watched bragi scoop up the last few morsels of his cake as she too whisked hers into her own mouth. Enjoying the rich flavor, she hadn't had such a delicious cake in quite some time. As they ate he thanked her once more, adding an after though with a wistful look. As aisa glanced up, she saw a thoughtful look cross his handsome features, and an almost sad look crossed his face. Before it set in though he seemed to abruptly put his thoughts out of his mind and stood. "I believe you owe me a dance?" Aisling noted his sad moment, she would inquire some other time, "Why brave rescuer, I believe I do!" She stood and curtsied, and took his paw, walking into the dance floor and waited for the next tune to be played. A galloping tune emerged from the band in the corner and aisa wasted no time, placing one small paw on his shoulder, and the other inside his large one, she took to recounting her steps and spinning about in time with the music. A smile broke out on her face and she smiled at Bragi, " This is such FUN Bragi! Why are not all toms like you? Willing to dance with a lady, and so well versed at it.

"Why brave rescuer, I believe I do!"
Bragi gripped Aisling's paw lightly, and pulled her out onto the dance floor. There were three troupers in the tavern that night, one with a flute, one with a violin and the other had a drum hung 'round his neck. They were whispering quietly to one another, clearly choosing their next tune. Then, with a nod of their heads, they separated and began to play.

A soft tune filled the bar, and Bragi slipped one paw around Aisling's waist, the other holding her paw gently. As he began to lead her about the floor, the song began to pick up, 'til a cheery, bouncing melody filled the ears of every patron. Bragi twirled Aisling around the room, clapping his paws as they swirled apart and laughing merrily when she returned to his arms.
"This is such FUN Bragi! Why are not all toms like you? Willing to dance with a lady, and so well versed at it."
Bragi flashed her a smirk. "Aisling," he called over the sound of instruments. "There are no toms like me!" He winked at her, twirling her again before pulling her close. He met her gaze, and beamed. "I guarantee that."

She smiled as the music played and they twirled and danced on, unphased by the lookers on or that the hours flew by along with the mead and many of the patrons... She was so giddy, she couldn't remember being this happy in a tom's presence save for her brothers. This one though, this was a different sort of feeling all together. She gazed up at him a moment as the music slowed, as the musicians took a break or a moment to think of their next tune. She suddenly grabbed bragi's face in either of her paws. Unable to stop herself, she brought her maw to his and kissed him, much to the happiness of the crowd around them. Apparently they had been viewed through the evening, she stopped the kiss not out of her own preference ,but to gauge the toms reaction. Scared she might have taken it a step to far. "Bragi, I'm so sorry I dunno what came over me I.." she felt herself flush and stepped back. "I may have had a bit much mead bragi, I do apologize. Perhaps I should be getting to bed anyways, I must be ready at the kings palace early in the morn..."
