The moon shined down over Gweliian through the clouds as Auri walked along the rooftops. Placing her paws carefully even though she knew these rooftops like lute-strings. Her ghostly pale eyes delighted as she watched the many cat shaped blurs below parading the streets and dancing with bright shaped objects.
Avery had told her that their was going to be a festival with many lights and she was delighted at the thought of a festival even with her shy nature. But now as she sat quietly on the rooftops with a half-harp in her paws, she was delighted at the display she could barely see with her clouded eyes.

Cash sat on the roof of his home, looking down at the streets below, his fur pushed by the breeze. It was a beautiful night, the summer sun's warmth just starting to cool off. Usually on nights like this, he would lay on top of his house, gazing at the bright stars. He had read many books on the unknown above, but it never satisfied those unanswered questions. So many nights he would come and lay where he could see the stars the best, on the rooftops. But tonight was different, the streets were lit with the yellow lanterns, dancing like stars on a cloudless night. It was the festival, Cash loved the festival, it was the most amazing part of the summer! There were contests, and parties, but the best part of all, was this was Cash's own very first festival. He loved watching all the contests, and seeing all the lights down in the streets, but Cash didn't join in. He wasn't usually the shy type, but he just liked sitting up here and watching the others have fun. The cool breeze changed direction, coming from the east now. Cash closed his eyes, and took a deep breath, letting himself flow with the wind. Cash looked over, the scent of a young she cat drifted on the wind, flowing like a boat upon water. Cash got up, and started to walk on the roof top, towards the dark figure sitting a few houses away. "Hello." he mewed. "Can I sit next to you?"

Auri hissed, her fur puffing up in fright as she spun rapidly to face the sound of the voice in fear. Her curtain of fur flying to reveal moon-like and what seemed like pupiless eyes in the dark as she spun. Pouncing at the small blurry shape that her eyes could barely they both landed with a solid 'thunk' on the flat rooftop. Knocking over a lamp that shone onto her face. As her fur puffed back down she began trying to figure out through her near-blind eyes if this was a cat or something else...

The young cat moved as swift as the wind, knocking Cash to the roof top. Cash yelped, the back of his head sending a sharp pain through his body. "Sorry!" he squeaked, out of fear. "I didn't mean to startle you, although you did scare me back... so does that mean we are even, or maybe not. I'm not used to this kind of thing, I mean... oh here I go again! Mumbling to yourself. You should really stop that." Cash coughed, realizing he was talking aloud. "Heh." he laughed nervously. "I... come in peace?"

Auri blinked her moon-like eyes rapidly, she had pegged a blurry shape about her size to the ground. Before it spoke in a nervous male voice, "I come in peace?" Auri giggled airily at what she thought was a tom's words, giggling girlishly she flopped to the ground, no longer squashing the poor Cash. "You're funny." She giggled, rolling onto her back, slim rear-legs flailing in laughter. She had no words to explain an apology.

Cash laughed, a little unsure. "Funny? I dunno... I don't really think so." But he grinned at her laughter, joining in. Then he sat up, sighing. "My name is Cash. May I have the pleasure of your name?" He hadn't thought of that line himself. To be honest, he had read it in a book, and thought it was a very smart sounding.

Auri eyed the tom with her silvery eyes, even though she could only see his shape. One of her dark pointed ear's twitched back in amusement at his words, 'so he's a clever cat then?' She thought, a grin fighting it's way onto her maw. "Well what do you think it is?" She asked, her head tilting owlishly to the side as she sat down, enjoying her own little game.

Cash thought for a moment, studying her eyes. He almost felt that if he stared long enough he could read her mind. He blinked, braking his gaze and looking up into the night sky. "Um... Okay. Sasha? No?" Cash thought for a while longer. "Belle? Abigail?" He flicked his tail, smirking in amusement. "At least give me a hint? Maybe a first letter?"

"Hmmm..." Auri hummed in thought, her long tail flicking lightly before speaking as she lifted a paw to brush the tangle of fur out of her face, to reveal moon like, near blind eyes. "Try guessing now." She giggled, letting the long curling fur fall back into her milky, silver-blue eyes.

Cash looked into those milky eyes. "Y-your eyes are p-pretty." he stammered, looking away from her gaze. "It's a shame your fur covers them." he whispered, his face hot. "I give up on your name." He sighed. "You're just too smart for me."
