Silent her pawsteps were as the she-cat exited her house and carefully locked the door. As always, she hid her key behind a large flower pot just by the door and turned into the direction of the Witches Hollow.
The forest seemed dark and gloomy as it stood before the sandy brown she-cat - but she wasn't afraid, not anymore at least. When she was a kit, her father often told her stories and legends about witches and all that stuff - perhaps some of them were true, perhaps.
Riven still wasn't scared - her sneaking skills were fine, she could quickly and silently climb trees and, of course, she had her bow and arrows - not to mention the magic she possessed, although it couldn't be a lot of use against a witch.
Her paws still silent against the road, the wanderer moved closer to the trees, and finally reached the hollow - it was dark, dark for sure. As fast as she could, Riven stalked into the forest and was soon swallowed by the darkness - the only thing she was actually worrying about was getting lost.

Renly yawned slipping through the trees in silence, a bit fast paced, in the distance screams could be heard filling the day with terror as the assassin skillfully removed herself from a kill without being seen. It was all in a days work, and the witches hollow was one of the best places to loose any pursuers the fluffy Maine coon might of picked up. Grimm paused a moment, panting, those green eyes peering out from her hood , bow slinged across her back and the beautiful glass headed arrow's Avery had crafted for her rested in her brown quiver. Along those cream colored paws was her newly made gauntlets as well, also made by her love. Armed with deadly metal claws, accompanied by the knived digits on the sides used for climbing, the gloves were snuggly fit and comfortable.. easy to use.
There was a hoot in the distance, the sounds of crickets also was buzzing about. The forest, on the other hand... stood eerily still, nothing seemed to stir, and the sounds that seemed to bustle about didn't seem to have an owner, emitted ghostly into the silence. Ren swallowed hard, despite traveling through this part of Grimalkin, the she-cat had never really stopped to study her surroundings and now that she did, it was quite the looker. The huntress shook the feeling away, breaking her stare into the darkness that was the hollow and continued on.. sooner out of the forest, the better.

Moving silently among the trees, Riven's pawsteps made almost no sound as she did. The shadows around the pale sandy she-cat seemed to grow darker as she headed deeper into the forest - but the dark wasn't much of a problem as soon as the she-cat's eyes got used to the dark. She often hunted at night, so it wasn't that bad.
After a couple of minutes of heading into one direction the wanderer realized that she hadn't actually come upon anything interesting - only some small forest animals and birds high up in the branches of the trees - she could possibly draw her bow out and try to take one of them down. Perhaps, after all, the tales and legends were just for scaring little kits.
A few minutes later a sound finally reached the ears, and she instantly recognized it - unmistakingly the pawsteps of a cat. The sound of pawsteps stood out among the other ghostly forest sounds. Being extra careful, Riven slipped behind a tree and, her bow in her paws, peeked over her left shoulder.

The assassin froze, there was a rustle ahead of her. Severed tail flicked , pulling her hood further over her face before taking a glance up, rushing to the side with great stealth and ease, using her knived gauntlets she hauled herself up a nice sized tree for coverage. Those green eyes scanned the darkness, trying to spot the owner of the noise.. but all had went silent again. Large audits fully erect, Renly continued on leaping from branch to branch, nose inhaling deeply with each leap.. just incase there was a scent.. and suddenly there was.. Grimm seemed to once again just stop , as if time had suddenly paused. Swallowing hard, the she-cat looked down.. whoever was down there, she was right above them.
Pulling her bow from her back, and notching a arrow.. back claws sunk deeply within the bark, the Maine coon aimed down, breathing slowed, but her heart was racing. The feline waited, for anything, a sudden movement, a voice.. she wouldn't release the arrow unless given a good reason to.. the Assassin wasn't for striking a innocent, but she had to make sure the cat wasn't a pursuer,.. or of the empire.

With all the stealth she had, the sandy brown she-cat took a step forwards, her eyes slightly narrowed as the tried to spot anything in the dark. And then, all of sudden, the fellow feline was up in the branches of a tree. The wanderer stayed where she was, following the movement with her eyes slightly narrowed - nothing bad could happen, she could, she possibly could avoid an attack - and after all, she had her bow and arrows. Nothing bad could happen, unless the opponent was better.
The sound of notching an arrow couldn't be mistaken for anything else - she was left with no other chance than to reveal herself. "I mean no harm," She spoke calmly, though keeping a hold of her bow and an arrow - just in case.

The cat swallowed hard, keeping her line of sight and aim on the she-cat below. That severed tail wisped back and forth, waiting.. until, finally a answer. I mean no harm. How could she believe that. . . But at the same time, she didn't want to hurt any that was innocent in her mind. Ren sighed, and let her ears flicked back..
"And I don't want to hurt you.. but how can I trust you, Prove it. Give me your name, occupation. " The she-cat demanded, though her mind was working quickly, "Tell me and I wont release this arrow, and Ill be on my way.. but I swear, you do something stupid, Ill make sure this night will be your end." The assassin threatened, trying to sound it at least... She was made for stealth kills, and fleeing, not so much combat.. but she'd try her paw at it for her life's sake, and plus she rather scare a cat into not attempting anything, then having to engage them.
"We have a deal then stranger?"

Gripping her bow harder, the she-cat kept looking up, following every single move of the fellow feline. Even if she apparently didn't want to hurt an innocent, the sandy colored wanderer still wanted to be careful with this, and she was definitely not going to trust a complete stranger in the middle of a dark forest.
"Riven. The name's Riven," She finally spoke, narrowing her eyes at the stranger. "I'm just a wanderer, and sure, we have a deal." 'And I could avoid your arrow if I wanted to,' She added in her mind, but didn't have the intention to provoke the cat. "Since I answered to your question, I demand my own answered. Who are you?"

A smirk drew across the felines face, and she shook her head. "Silly kitty.. Why would you demand things? Expecially when you got a few arrows aiming for your vitals?" The female snickered, " Im just a kitty, Just like you. A wanderer, but a player of games. " , The words slipped from her tongue with cold amusement. "Now my dear. I'd really love to stay and chat.. but you see, I need to get where I was going.. " and with that, Renly bounded from branch to branch quickly, and nimble heading towards the city to her destination. Large ears perked and keenly listening if the other would dare to follow.. or just let the meeting be just what it was , so both could go on with their lives without any loosing a drop of blood.

{'Tis okay. |D }
Glaring up at the she-cat, Riven felt her patience coming to an end. "Let's just say that I'm not a nice, harmless kitty," She hissed quietly at the fellow feline, keeping an eye on her as the cat disappeared among the trees. "Great, just great.." She muttered, quite annoyed at the current moment. Leaping onto branch lightly, the she-cat started making her way to, which she supposed was the right way out of the forest.
Meanwhile, something was actually following Renly Grimm in the shadows - whatever it was, it moved with much stealth, and didn't disturb the silence of the forest as it moved along. A moment after, something shot past the she-cat - but it wasn't an arrow, and most definitely not sent by Riven. It was a sharp shred of ice, and it was sent by a witch, whos territory the two she-cats had just invaded - she was now after them.

She continued on her way, a few glances back confirmed that the other wasnt following her.. and that was a breath of relief for the Maine coon. Renly hummed a bit as she went, relaxing a bit as she had traveled the forest many times before and never had really any problems getting in and out of it. Though as she leaped from branch to branch, the cat could only feel a sudden tension that took her off guard... trying to ignore it, she focused ahead, reassuring herself that it was only her mind playing tricks on her.. until.. WHAM. The ice struck a tree with a thud, whistling past her shoulder that would begin to sting.. the sudden hit making her loose her balance and by the time she realized that she was being attacked, the assassin found herself tumbling to the ground, air howling in her keen ears. Outstretching paws to branches, the cat began to try to snag a branch to save herself.. and with the help of those knived gauntlets.. she just managed to..
A snarl echoed from her chest, emerald gaze scanning the forest as a bit of blood seeped from her new acquired wound. Heaving herself up in the tree, and regained her composure... Renly could only wait with growing fury for whatever to show itself.. or make its next move. Eyes pulsating green as Arrows floated at her sides, removed from quiver with her minds grasp..

From the shadows, the witch was following the tabby she-cat's every move, preparing for the next strike - she had certainly had enough of cats padding through her lands, invading her territory - and she was definitely angered. Sending another ice shred flying into her direction, her eyes blazing white-greyish blue, the witch disappeared once again, now heading in the other direction.
Riven had heard the distant sound, and now was pricking her ears for further sounds, wondering what might have occurred over there - but she didn't have to wonder any longer - the wanderer seemed to be surrounded by three blazing, blueish-green flame-like creatures, which seemed to be summoned by the witch. "Whisps," She hissed, summoning a shield at her paws, while trying to step backwards, towards the other she-cat - two kitties against a bunch of Whisps were better than one - well, only if the other cat was willing to help.

Those keen ear's listened, eyes peering into the unforgiving darkness as it seemed to swallow up her, and the forest as if it was forever hungry, only pockets of light showing threw almost as if it was poking threw the shadow's teeth. It was nerve wracking for the female, though as she continued to focus on her surroundings, Renly could feel the presence slowly begin to fade... though as quickly as it did, rushing paw steps seemed draw closer. She tested the air.. The cat from earlier? Maybe what ever it was attacking her before was now after that she-cat. Ren pondered making a escape... but as she moved to take her leave, it would seem that heart of gold.. more or so guilty feeling would pass over her. Turning sharply, the maine coon lept, sliding down the tree trunk and darting towards the lightly colored other, taking up guard beside her, panting.
"The hell was that?" Emerald hues shot over to the other feline, holding her wound as it seemed to just trickle a small amount of blood. " Thing' got me.. Luckily its just a little scratch.."

{Sorry for the late reply ;A; }
Riven shot a glance at the fellow feline - she seemed to have suffered from an attack from the beast as well. "The hell am I supposed to know? Possibly a witch or something.." She muttered a guess, nervously shifting her sight from one ball of flame to another.
"These creatures right here, these Whisps, ever tried to fight them?" The sandy colored wanderer inquired, still following the beasts' every move as they continued moving towards the two she-cats. Jeez, this wasn't a pleasant situation.
