Time: Mid-day
Kovu padded along the docks. The tom had left his cape and wrist bands at home. He had also traded in walking on two legs for walking on four. It was odd and new for the siamese. He hadn't traveled here before so it would deffinatly be a new adventure for him. He felt extremely out of place while dogding the feet of wreckless humans only once did he have to snarl and hiss for having his long silver tail stepped on. 'Stupid humans' was all he could ever think of. But he had heard that dealing with the humans was usualy worth the things you could collect and then later sell when he got back from this forgein land.
The siamese longed for a dip in the cool water it was much warmer here than back home and everything seemed odd and different. These creatures reffered to as 'humans' were deffinatly odd things. He had no desire to come back here. Kovu enjoyed knowing where he was and what was going on and here he just felt lost. So the tom quickly padded off of the docks and onto the sand below. There he his from the madness of the humans and there need to always be moving. Sheltered from the sun by the dock that was over his head the tom padded around on the sand looking to see if the clumsy humans had managed to drop anything down here.
Though he was out of the sun the tom's dark grey and selver pelt still managed to absorb enough heat to make him feel uncomftorable and sort of gross. So with a quick check to make sure no humans were aroung he took a few steps into the water. Only enough to fully cover his paws but just enough that it gave him some relief from the heat. Looking up to the docks above his Kovu could watch the human's feet clank around on the wood. 'Could they get any noisier?' He thought to himself stepping back out of the water before some one came around and started shrieking about the wierd cat that likes water. It was only his first time here and he didn't feel like getting in trouble with the emporer for standing out to much. So he sat down in the cool sand and started to clean the salty water off his paws. Though he liked the water Kovu couldn't stand it when the small droplets started to cling to his fur.

Lana didn’t know what she was doing in Rithengar. She never strayed away from Gweillan before and she was a little startled and overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of the human realm. She couldn’t really remember what she was doing prior to figuring out that she was far from home- she knew that she had the intention of hunting for treasures in the forest and assumed that she must have gotten lost or took a wrong turn somewhere. Despite her uneasiness, Lana giggled at her misdirection- she could be so silly sometimes! Perhaps there was a nice cat that she might bump into and get proper directions explaining how to find her way home.
Feeling a little more relieved that she now had a plan, Lana crept forward from the trees on four paws and curiously looked around at the town before her. It was bustling with activity that didn’t seem too different than the sort of happening in Gweillan- but the people were much larger and louder. Lana stepped backwards into the shadows of the trees hesitantly- how would they see her? She was much smaller than the humans and certainly didn’t want to get stepped on. A wave of panic rushed over her as she began to think she would never be able to leave the safety of the trees when she heard a rustling sound from behind her.
Lana’s cat-like curiosity took hold of her instincts and the grey and white cat turned her head to peer over her shoulder. A group of human children were crowded behind her and eyed her with an interest that both flattered and frightened the young she-cat. Should she approach them or flee? The middle child crouched down and made a clicking sound with his tongue and fiddled his fingers in a strange motion. Lana lifted her nose at him, entranced by his efforts to summon her, and slowly she turned to face him completely. Human kits couldn’t be so different from regular feline kits right? They were young and innocent and were only about half the size of the adults- how dangerous could they be?
Cautiously, the she-cat padded towards the children with her muzzle outstretched to sniff at the young boy’s fingers. What was he doing? Was he going to feed her something? When she got close enough, the child began to pet her. Lana purred pleasantly at his gentle strokes and licked his fingers affectionately. Maybe humans weren’t so bad after all! She looked up at him with her beautiful green eyes and rubbed her head against the hands of the other children as they bent over to pet her too. She was quite content receiving their love and playing with them- so it came as quite a shock when one of the children suddenly grabbed her around the middle and hoisted her into the air.
‘Wait!’ Lana screamed in her mind, ‘put me down!’ As much as she loved the children stroking her beautiful fur, she did not want to be stuck in the human realm forever. Were they going to lock her in one of their houses somewhere? Lana mewed to get their attention and to signal her disapproval but the children only giggled and rushed deeper into the forest with Lana bobbing uncomfortably against the child’s shoulder. Lana’s head spun as the kids ran down a pathway and every time she tried to meow her protest for their traveling with her, they only laughed harder.
Soon the trees the bordered the hidden path began to clear away and the smell of the sea came wafting over the she-cat. Lana knew the smell very well from the days she spent fishing alongside her father and collecting seashells for her crafts and her heart soared a little. The minute they put her down she would swim away- all the way to Gweillan- and she wouldn’t come back to Rithengar as long as she lived.
The comforting sound of the ocean- a sound that she loved so dearly- was drowned out by the increasing volume of laughs and giggles from her captors. As they burst from the trees and ran off the short cut onto the sand, Lana began to struggle to get away. The smells and sounds of the ocean were calling to her and she felt the strength to try to escape now more than ever. She didn’t want to hurt the little ones but she had quite enough of their exploits. The sound of their feet on the dock thumped dangerously beneath her and suddenly a panic overcame her- why were they on the dock? What were they going to do with her?
They stopped abruptly at the edge of the dock and without warning, they flung the poor she-cat off of the wooden pier into the water below. Lana yowled as she flew into the air suddenly and flipped over in midair so her feet landed in the water first. She sunk into the sea, terrified at first as the water closed in on her and she had to switch from breathing air to the salty liquid without a moment’s notice. Then, as the panic ebbed away, Lana began to swim upwards. She still felt dizzy from the run and plunge and her sense were hard to control but her instinct to survive was stronger and her talent as a swimmer suddenly proved to be a life-saving attribute. She pushed her numb body through the water, keeping her eyes focused on the sky beyond the water’s surface. It seemed miles away but she soon broke through the surface with a large splash and coughed up as much of the liquid that initially filled and stung her throat as she could. She looked around and spotted a nice plot of land underneath the dock and began to propel herself towards it. She wasn’t aware of the cheers and laughter from the children on the dock. She just wanted to get dry and take advantage of a moment to breathe the fresh air.
Lana hoisted her tired body onto the sand and hauled herself up as far as she could go but collapsed before managing to pull her rear end out of the ocean’s tide. She laid her head in the sand and panted heavily as she tried to restore her strength and senses. Her nose was so full of water and the smells of the ocean that she didn’t notice the other cat until her eyes casually looked around her current sanctuary and fell upon the dark Siamese.
She tried to manage a small, friendly smile and managed to mew softly at him.
“….Hello~”

Kovu had finally finished cleaning the waterr from his paws when he saw a bunch of small humans running out of the woods. A cat in there arms. Flicking an ear back he thought nothing of it he had figured that it was there pet. He looked up as dancer heard the loud clanking of feet above his head. The siamese wondered how the dock above him managed to undergo so much abuse by running children and stomping adults. If there was one thing human's weren't it was quiet and yet somehow it was the humans who seemed to be incharge of anything how did they ever catch any food. Was another thing he wondered.
The thoughts were vanquished from his mind as he heard a loud splash farther out in the water. He didn't have a clue what it was so he stood up and watched the water. Only loosing his focus when he heard the outragouse lafter of children as they jumped up and down on the dock. Looking back down the tom hadn's even noticed but there was a she-cat laying soaked to the bone and only half out of the water. So it was her who had been thrown into the water.
"Hello" Kovu meowed with a friendly smile the she-cat's exhaustion practicly radiated off of her pelt. Feeling pity for the poor she-cat he padded over to her side. If he were still in his home land he could have simply picked her up and carried her away from the water but this wasn't his home and if he did and got caught he would face major charges. So the tom gripped the she-cat's scruff with his teeth and pulled her fully out of the water and onto the cool sand.
"Are you okay?" He asked somewhat timidly not sure if the she-cat would jump up and start yelling at him for the assumption that she would need his help at all or if she would simply nod and ask for help.

Lana felt her body being pulled against the sand and the water begin to descend around her. As she lay on the shore she lifted a weary head and looked at the other cat, a gentle smile parted her lips. “Thank you,” she murmured as she struggled to her paws and tottered a little, bumping into the dark-colored tom a few times before her head cleared and her sense of balance started to become restored. She carefully sat down and began to lick her paw and groom her soaked and untidy multi-colored coat. After a moment of her preening, her brilliant green eyes fluttered upon the tom watching her and she smiled shyly and straightened. “Sorry,” she apologized with a blush, “my fur is usually so pretty- I suppose it’ll do for now, though.” Now her usual cheerful smile parted her lips and her bright expression lit up her features.
“I’m Lana,” she purred happily. “Thank you for saving me- I could have gotten pulled back in! What was I thinking taking a nap on the shoreline like that?” She looked out to the sea from which she came moments ago and blinked at it, seemingly pondering about getting pulled into the ocean and disappearing forever. This thought of course didn’t sit well with the happy-go-lucky cat who actually loved water and swimming so she instantly pushed the thought aside and addressed the tom again instead.
“Who are you? Are you from around here? Do you happen to know how I can get back home?” She looked up at the sky and giggled, “oh look! It’s not that different here than it is back home.” She looked at Kovu and bubbly commented, “isn’t that grand?”

Kovu sat down on the sand across from the she-cat. He didn't mind it when she bumped into him while trying to regain her balance. After all he had walked into people plenty of time's and didn't even have the excuse of just being thrown into the ocean.
The tom watched as Lana cleaned her fur. He felt a little better knowing he wasn't the only one who hated having water stuck in his fur though she might be trying to fix her fur from being made somewhat a mess from the water. "I think it looks fine just as it is." He meowed with a smile once he had realised that the pretty she-cat was talking to him.
He listened to her as she thanked him for pulling her out of the water. He felt no need to say 'you're welcome' or 'well next time you should be more careful' the dancer felt that Lana could tell he didn't mind. Anyways without her here he was just sitting on the beach annoyed by people.
"I'm Kovu" He meowed flashing a smile. "No I'm not from around here, and honestly I'm not sure how I got here in the first place." Kovu meowed with a smirk. This she-cat really liked to talk and what she said amused the gray and silver tom. "Yes, that is grand." He said in a smooth voice.
The tom's mind had become cluttered with other thoughts by now and then one managed to make itself clear 'How are we getting home?' Thinking about this for a second he turned to the she-cat and meowed. "Well I would assume we get home the same way we got here." The dancer was praying inside that the she-cat had remembered how she got here. Because to him it was all sort of fuzzy.

“Uh,” Lana paused, trying to think about her voyage prior to being abducted by the human children and being tossed into the ocean. She couldn’t really recall how she wandered into the human realm. She never had any real intention of wandering into it before- not with all the stories of people taking cats and forcing them to live in their houses forever… and then there were other stories that claimed that humans actually ATE cats. Lana shuddered, she certainly didn’t like the sound of that!
She pursed her lips as she thought about the day- what did she do after she woke up? She got out of bed, looked out at the sea, and decided to take a walk… Okay, that wasn’t too different than usual. What happened after that? She saw a seagull carrying something in its beak and decided to follow it. She padded the span of the beach and ended up in the woods with no seagull in sight. She wandered around, looking for it to make sure it wasn’t hurt by what it had in its beak, and ended up getting so very lost. That was all she knew. One minute, she was home, the next, she was emerging in the middle of a town that required her to behave like a ‘regular cat’.
She hung her head sadly and heaved her shoulders and tail in a defeated manner. “I’m so terribly sorry, Kovu.” She muttered with large, light green eyes glinting sadly and betrayed her disappointment in herself. “I just can’t recall what happened exactly. I saw a seagull on the shore of Jasper’s Beach and followed it to make sure it wasn’t carrying something harmful…. But I got lost and found myself here.” She chuckled nervously at her plight but her cheerfulness was sort lived. She wasn’t sure if Kovu would appreciate her clumsiness at the moment, he really seemed to be depending on her and she wanted to do her best to help him.
She looked out at the ocean and watched the sunlight sparkle and dance upon the water’s surface. The performance calmed her. She was slowly regaining her strength and the panic that once overtook her so suddenly began to ebb away with the tide that licked at the sand beneath her paws. Lana’s thoughts began to drift to other places- across the seas and to a fantastical world for cats. How would they get there? Lana couldn’t answer that but she knew that together, they could think of something. They just had to get up and head for the beckoning horizon- the thing they wanted most.
Regaining her cheerful smile, Lana purred, “well, let’s get out of the shadows of this pier. I’m sure if we get our bearings we should be able to find something that could lead us home. Come on~”
And with that, she padded out from under the dock and into the sunlit beach, seemingly without a care in the world.

(( Sorry this took a month ))
Kovu watched as Lana's face changed as she thought about how she had gotten to this god forsaken place. Where he is not allowed to wear his cape and wrist cuffs. He was also forced to stay on four paws of all the things Kovu hated he really hated being on all fours. He is a large tom when on two paws but when forced to walk on all four he feels so small and vulnerable. His deep and dark blue eye's drifted over to the ocean. He hated it here and he hated that he couldn't remember how he got here.
The dancer started to run through everything he had done that day. Gone to the market, danced with some she-cat's for a bit that was usual. Nothing he hd done was out of the ordinary. Except that he had bought a couple slices of bread from one of the vendors. Ofcourse only a few slices was all he could afford then that stupid seagull flew down and grabbed some of his bread. He had tried to chase it. The gull had dragged him down to the beach. Then he got lost stuck in a strage world full of humans. Luckily he had managed to find a safe place to put his things before exposing the feline world to the humans.
He looked at Lana as she spoke again. Sighing but trying to hide his distaste with the fact that she couldn't remember anything since the look in her eye's gave away the fact that she was beating herself up inside. His eye's flickered around from the she-cat to the ocean. "Seagull..." he muttered under his breath. Though the dark grey cat didn't say much more about it he just thought about it. Kovu nudged the she-cat's shoulder with his head in a freindly manor trying to cheer her up a little.
Kovu followed her gaze out to the water it was so peacful. He loved to watch the way the light bounced off the water it was like the light beams were dancing with eachother. The tom envied the water. The way it moved. It was so graceful and fluid for lack of a better word. The dancer might be graceful and such but his movements are often somewhat choppy and off hardly ever so smooth as to look like the water.
He flicked an ear as the other feline talked. She seemed to be singing a different tune than before. Now cheery and purring. "Okay, if we figure a way out of here I'm going to get you to come back with me to get all my things." The dancer got back to his paws and padded along side her the sun starting to warm his dark pelt. He glanced over at his companion how could she seem so light as if without any cares. Now he was not only enviouse of the water but now as well of Lana.
