The sounds of life had faded away with the daylight and left only the solemn chirping of crickets in its place. As the citizens of Gweillan retreated to their homes for the night one solitary figure stood alone with their nose turned to the sky to watch the moon come out. The dark furred dancer enjoyed the night as well as the daytime and had no intention of retiring for the night, there was way too much fun to have in the dark.
Wiggling her toes in the grass she slowly headed for the hot springs, intent on a nice long soak after a long day of dancing. Slowing her pace as she approached her destination she checked that no one was in sight before she entered the small clearing of hot springs.
The air here was warm and full of steam but the moon still shown brightly overhead, beams of light reflecting off the pools to make the atmosphere almost surreal. Everything was perfect for a night time soak.
Testing the water with a single toe she slipped in to her thighs and sat on a small flat rock to take off her jewelry. Setting them aside she slipped off the rock and let out a sigh as the naturally heated water rose almost to her shoulders. "Ohhh that feels so good after a long day" she purred to herself, closing her eyes as she relaxed against the side of the pool, splinters of moonlight dancing around her in the water.
After a few moments of soaking she decides to practice her magic and with her eyes still closed she conjures up her signature illusion, a blue butterfly that flutters around her head. she then tries to produce a few more, concentrating hard as two much smaller butterflies appear and join the first in its zig-zagged dance over head, their brilliant wings reflecting off the waters surface.

Kovu padded through the almost empty street's he had no idea where his paws were taking hum but sometime's it was fun to just walk. The night air was cool and refreshing. The moon had turned the male dancer's dark pelt to a light silver. His deep blue eye's scanned the street's. With a right down one street and a left down the next.
He found himself padding past the hot spring's he had interesting memories from this place and it was odd for him to walk by. The siamese stopped for a moment and streched out his arm's. With a yawn he started to carry on.
Until a blue butterfly caught his attention. The siamese loved butterflies. Interested why such a creature would be out so late he turned and started to pad towards the conjuration. Spotting a few more they all seemed to be around one spot. Once he got closer Kovu could clearly see the she-cat sitting in the hot spring.
Almost immediatly after that he realised they were not actual butterflies and he felt little need to be interested by them. Yet he was interested by the darkly pelted she-cat who to his knowledge was unaware of his pressence. So with a swish of his tail and a flick of his ear the tom meowed in the most polite un-Im-going-to-mug-you sort of way "Hello"

Tambara's eyes flew open as she heard someone speak and she blushed, embarrassed to be caught without her jewelry. As she pulled herself from the water to once again sit on the low rock the butterflies faded into the night. Her wet pelt appearing to take on a blue hue in the moonlight as she tried to wring the extra water from her tail. Her legs remained submerged in the hot spring so she could continue to soak them.
Blinking in the dark she tried to make out who had spoken but it was too dark where they were standing. "hello" she called back to them, her voice cheerful and steady. Waiting a few minutes for any response she picked up her jewelry and started to put it back on. She was glad she had left her dancing skirt at home, she really didn't want it to get wet.
Securing her mothers ruby headdress back in place with its golden studs she tried to refocus on her illusions but they wouldn't come. She hated how little control she had over her illusions and hoped that if she kept practicing she would learn to better maintain them. However for now she would give it a bit of a rest and try again after a few moments.
Returning her attention to the intruder once more she smiles "would you care to join me? I could use some company on this fine night" she offers with a soft slightly flirtatious purr. She could tell from the voice it had been a male but unlike most who found strangers in the dark scary Tambara had no fear of others. She was entirely too trusting and friendly for that.

Kovu watched as the attractive she-cat stood from the water the butterflies had vanished. He knew everything happened for a reason or atleast that is what his mother always said to him after he had gotten into an argument with his father.
The tom took a step closer to her and held out his hand. "My name is Kovu, and who might you be?" He asked in a smooth voice. He had noticed the she-cat was starting to put on her jewerly. "You don't have to worry about me mugging you trust me I am the most harmless thing out there." He smirked at the memory from the last person who thought he was a mugger. It ended in him getting kicked in the stomach and an awkward conversation after.
Hearing the she-cat's question he couldn't help but grin a bit at the offer. "I would love to join you." He meowed returning the playful purr. Walking closer to the she-cat he stepped down into the warm water.

As the stranger stepped forward into the light Tambara quickly studied their features so she would recognize them if they met again. 'Kovu' she repeated his name in her head, liking the sound of it. The name suited him. "I'm Tambara. I didn't expect you to mug me though" she answered in a soft tone.
The thought had truthfully never crossed her mind. She had never been mugged and though she had heard of it happening she never actually thought others would be so cruel as to take whats not theirs. 'Am i too trusting? is leaving my window open at night possibly dangerous?' she asked herself but her trusting nature simply wouldn't let her think that there were bad cats out there.
Pushing that thought aside she smiled at the tom as he joined her in the water. "It sure is a nice night for a soak don't you think?" she asked thinking that perhaps he had come here for the same reason she did.
Sinking back into the water up to her shoulders she was glad that all her jewelry was well out of the water. She was not specifically worried about them getting wet but rather she didn't want to worry about drying them off and cleaning them afterwords. It could take so much time and she wasn't sure she would be up for it after she left the springs.

"I like that name. Tambara." Kovu meowed sitting down on one of the rocks. He hadn't ever actualy sat in one of the hot srpings before so he was taking note of how warm the water felt. "Yes, nice night." He replied somewhat awkwardly. The tom looked down into the water and realised how fluffy his fur looked when submurged. Letting out a sigh he slumped down letting the water reach the bottom of his neck.
Though the tom felt at ease with everything he couldn't seem to relax and he wasn't sure why. His dark blue eye's were weary and he was tired from a long day of thinking. He hadn't gone out to the market or festival earlier though he knows he should all the tom could think about was his past. The male dancer wasn't sure why it was stuck in his head so much today but it was driving him crazy.
An almost eary silence had fallen on the two dancer's sitting in the hot spring. For a moment the siamese wondered what the she-cat next to him was thinking before getting lost in his own thoughts again.

Sorry for the late response... my personal life is being a pain. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z388/Bellidonax/forumtable15-4.png]
As silence fell over the springs once more Tambara summoned her illusions back, willing the brilliant blue butterflies to dance about overhead. The reflections in the water of their wings and the moonlight was stunning and she couldn't help but to smile to herself. "Do you like butterflies?" she asked the Siamese, not really expecting him to but she wanted to ask.
As she waited for his answer she slowly swiped her tail just under the waters surface, watching its movement as she thought about the events of the day. "It is always so quiet here at night. Almost like we are the only ones in a hundred miles." she spoke softly this time, more to herself then her companion.

Kovu's silver ear flicked towards the she-cat as she spoke. His deep blue eye's lingering toward's Tamabara as he thought carefuly about his answer he could come off as a strong 'Im to good for butterflies' Or admit his fascination for the small creatures. With a sigh he answered her question. "They are interesting but Im not overly attracted to them." He meowed choosing the middle grounds for his answer. He knew it was probobly better if he had just answered with the truth but it was only a white lie and it couldn't affect her overview look of him if she found out his true answer.
He only hardly picked up the other dancer's voice when she talked about how quiet it was. The siamese nodded with a smirk in agreement. It was oddly peaceful you could almost forget about everything that was happening. With his need to get more money so that he could pay rent he had already been late the last few months and if he were late again he would have to find somewhere else in the kingdom that would allow someone like him who blew most of the money he made on ale to numb the pain of his past.
"So, what do you come here to escape from?" The dancer asked leaning forward to sit up on the rock he had perched himself on. Kovu peered down into the water as he awaited the she-cat's responce.

Tambara wagged her tail as her companion admitted to liking butterflies, the movement causing a ripple in the pool. Smiling she thought about how great butterflies were but she pushed the thought away as he spoke once more. "Escape? Why would anyone need something to escape from? I simply came to soak my paws after a tiring day of dancing. Was quiet a busy day and luckily i'll be able to make rent with a bit left over to treat the orphans to fresh bread." She purred happily.
She was quite proud of how well she was doing on her own but sometimes her house seemed so empty and lonely. 'perhaps i should invite a wanderer to stay with me?' she mused to herself though that wouldn't be too much different then her leaving her window open and a loaf of bread by the window each night for anyone who needed shelter.
She smiled to herself as she realized that it had never occurred to her before then that she could ask someone to live with her or maybe ask to let an orphan stay the night once in a while. 'How great would that be!' she thought, wagging her tail faster now.
Pulling her thoughts away from such a thing she looked back at the Siamese and cocked her ears curiously."Is there something you are trying to escape from? My parents always told me it never serves any purpose to run when you can fix the problem, perhaps i could help in some way so you wont need to escape?" Tambara was smiling as she spoke, her words carrying a sincerity that was childish and all too trusting but that was who she was, she loved others with her whole heart regardless of who or what they were.

Kovu flicked one ear back as the she-cat started to speak again. "I just maen to escape from one's mind for a while." He meowed with a sigh. His deep blue eye's were clouded by thoughts yet he could still hear the feline's words. His face stayed the same despite the fact that he was cringing on the inside because of the fact that he always felt like a terrible and horrible cat for not helping out the orphan's. The tom would love to help the small cat's but he hardly has enough to provide for himself and his habits. His fur had fluffed up slightly but he managed to keep it from alarming the she-cat of his distaste.
He could tell that she had drifted off into thought and he hoped for her sake it was somewhere far from here somewhere perhaps where she might forget what he had said about problem's he really would rather no one find out how bad his drinking had gotten and then someone might confront him about it and that would mean giving up the safe place where everything is numb. Although that would also mean giving up his dark side. The side of him that has no regard for anyone else's feelings and usualy gets him in trouble that he has to talk himself out of later when his mind is clear and that stabbing pain of the past plagued his mind.
The tom was drawn back to reality when he felt a pulse of water hitting against his leg. He turned to discover that this feeling was because the she-cat sitting beside him was wagging her tail. This was an interesting to observe in another feline he had only ever seen the canines humans keep as pets use this behavior so it was interesting. His gaze drifted back up to the other dancers face as he realised that she was talking to him again.
The dark siamese turned his entire body to look at Tamabara more easly. He listened to her words and when she asked him a question he gave her a sort of nervouse grin bringing one paw out of the water too rub the back of his neck. He wanted to answer her without seeming like someone who wanted to take advantage of her and her confidence in other cats. "You put a lot of trust in others you know." Kovu meowed restoring eye contact between the two dancers. "Taking help from a she-cat no matter how incapable you are is a sign of a coward." He quoted his father turning his deep blue gaze back to the water. Instantly regreting what he had said. For someone who is so good with words he was really slipping up tonight.
