Finding the best treasure [Cash and Avery]

The waves curled up onto shore, falling back into the sea like hungry animals reaching for their food. This was how Cash spent most of his afternoons. It was this, between the studies he had as a Page. It was time consuming, but Cash always found time to sneak away mornings like this.
The air was cool, the summer breeze rushed over top of the water, bringing salty scents to Cash. The sun was coming up, the sun glinted off the water, turning the beach orange. Cash lay, looking at the cloudless sky, listening to the sea fall back and forth as their rhythm slowly pulled Cash into sleep.
Cash lay in his favorite part of the beach, he had cold sand under his fur, and trees that stretched high for shade in the heat of the day. Every time he went on an adventure, he finds a treasure of some sorts to bring home to add to his collection.
Cash slept until the sun reached the highest point in the sky. Cash woke to the glare of the sea's sun in his eyes, shining through a spot through the trees. Cash rolled over, getting up to his knees. He shook the cold sand off of his furry back, and came out of the shade.
The sand was warm under his paws, the sun heated his face. It's the perfect time of day for adventure! He thought, and marched off, down the side of the beach.

Avery limped along the shore in the afternoon's orange light, the cold sea-water lapping at his boney paws. While he smiled, happy that the healer's had finally let him remove the brace from his broken arm. Even if he was a bit down that he didn't get to dance with Renly because of the damned splint. He was happy now that he could walk comfortably again.

Letting out a small huff of breath, Avery gingerly sat down onto the pale, sandy shore. His fur blending into the pale sand as he curled his crooked tail around himself. Before he began to watch the sunset. Feeling ten times older that his young age and brittle bones.

Cash walked along the sandy shores. His paws sunk into the warm sand with every step.
When he noticed the sandy tom laying on the beach, a sly smile came across his face and a plan brewed in his mind.
He snuck across the sand, coming around behind the tom. Cash crept on all fours towards him, then jumped. He landed right next to the tom, and stuck his face over the toms. "Hello!" Cash grinned, his eyes wide. "Have you ever heard of the legend of the monster who lives in the waters of Jasper beach?" he asked.

Avery raised one busy eyebrow at Cash, unfazed by the young tom's antics as he lay on the cool sand. "Now you're going to have to do better than that if you're going to scare me Sonny." He joked, shaking his pale-furred head as he closed both eyes, going back to sleep.

Cash grinned ever bigger. "There is a real monster, I bet it's big! Wanna go find it with me? We'll be famous~" he sang. He walked around the sandy tom, trying to tempt him into playing this game. He turned abruptly around, giving his up his act. "It will be super fun!" He said, placing a paw heavily on the toms belly, attempting to wake him up.

Avery's sickly eye's flashed open as he let out a yelp of pain, before rolling away in the sand. He hadn't broken anything but it had hurt his ribs and would probably bruise. Causing him to spit and hiss out a harsh swear aimed at the creator before his fur began to stop bristling.

Sighing, Avery stood up on his hind-legs, brushing a boney paw over his face, before shaking himself and falling back down to all fours. Quipping out an agreement to join the little tom's game as he hobbled towards him. Wishing he could cuff the little kit if it wouldn't break his paw in doing so.

Cash's eyes grew wide. "Really?" he asked, unbelieving. "Really?!" he jumped up and down on the spot. "This is going to be so much fun! So we will need a net, and a boat. I already made a raft with rope and logs last week, so we could use that." he said, his words speeding up with excitement. "Thenwewilllureitoutwithbaitwhatcouldbethebait?" he looked up at the older tom, grinning. "Lets go!" he announced. "We will find the beast, and capture it!"
