Still in Gweillan
It was one of those times again, the times when the urge to go and do something better than being lazy was even stronger than ever - and the sandy brown she-cat, as she made her way closer and closer to the great forest, didn't feel intent to resist this urge at all. She felt completely, and perhaps overly positive of the upcoming adventure.
The wanderer was fully equipped with her bow and a great amount of arrows, as well a coin purse and dagger by her belt - it was everything she needed for now - until she'd reach the end of the forest, and the Kingdom of Rithengar, where it'd be foolish to enter with all the weapons. She'd possibly hide them in a trunk or something.
But then again, she hesitated before padding straight to the forest - she'd always wanted a companion or something of that sort - somebody to share an adventure with. Riven took a look around at the fellow felines - none of them seemed to be interested in the forest or the lands above them - they seemed rather in a hurry and busy with their own things. And after all, she couldn't just drag a random cat up to the lands of the human race and pull them in an adventure.

Misto was whistling casually as he padded through the city with his tail swaying widely behind him. There wasn’t a particular reason for him to be so happy, but it was so quiet and lonely today and his whistling helped hide these upsetting thoughts. Misto was normally a very enthusiastic spirit and was always happy and willing to make friends and have fun. It was due to this trait that whenever he found himself traveling alone, he couldn’t help but feel… empty. There was an absence of warmth and laughter and conversations and ideas that the black and white tom so longed for. He wished he had someone to talk to- something interesting to take his mind off the quiet streets.
Tethered to his back was his beloved violin, his livelihood. He thought of this magnificent instrument with a fond grin and a small chuckled emerging from his throat. “At least I still have my violin,” he purred. Whenever he felt this loneliness, Misto made the habit of playing his violin to fill in the silence- and it always made him disconnect from the present world and escape into another filled with music that was carried through the land and around his being on the wind. Sometimes, he could sense his deceased grandfather standing beside him while he played and that was all the comfort he needed. He loved his grandfather so much.
He was just thinking that he should find a nice place off the road to play for a bit when he noticed a familiar cat up ahead by the tree line of the forest. He curiously lifted his nose in the air, trying to identify the feline by her scent while also focusing his eyes as carefully as he could for the far away distance. He noticed the quiver and bow and remembered that he had met a cat once by the forest and she gave him a squirrel she caught to feed his family. He purred at the memory and quickened his pace. It was Riven- he was sure of it! ‘What sort of things has she seen since the last time we met, I wonder?’ Misto thought as he carried on with his jog.
Misto sometimes envied the wanderers because they were able to travel between the realms- two different WORLDS- and have all sorts of adventures and see all sorts of new and interesting things. He would have loved to live a life like that but his family on the beach kept him in Grimalkin all his life. He had no reason or purpose in the human realm… Of course, Misto was beginning to think that the excitement offered by the prospect of discovering something new and exciting outweighed the costs. He was grown now- he decided to pursue a life of wandering and music rather than performing card tricks for coins not too long ago- what was keeping him from going anywhere now? He was free- his mother was more than upset with him for growing up and didn’t want to talk to him much these days. He decision was made final and there was nothing that anyone could do to stop him- he was going to start his traveling as a trouper at long last.
Now the question was- would Riven allow him to go with here on his first voyage away from the city?
There was only one way to find out!
Misto approached Riven with a hearty smile and waved, “Hello Riven! Catch any more squirrels?”

Riven was still hesitating before padding into the trees - of course, she loved having adventures by herself as well, feeling the wind in her fur, leaping from one rooftop to another and avoiding the two-legged, furless humans - but it was all different and way more fun if you do it with another cat. It had been long since she'd said goodbye to the only wanderer she'd ever traveled with, as the old Elite moved onto the lands beyond Gweillan and Rithengar.
Just as she was just about to enter the forest, a familiar figure came into her sight - the feline was unmistakingly Misto, the cat she'd met the other day and shared a squirrel with.
With a friendly grin, the wanderer watched the tom approach, totally up for a chat or perhaps a longer conversation. "Squirrels, yeah, and bigger things as well," She grinned. "Great 'ta meet you again, Misto - how have you been?" The wanderer inquired. "I was just about to leave for Rithengar~"

Misto purred with pleasure- it was always nice to rekindle with an old acquaintance. He laughed out loud at Riven commented that she caught more squirrels and other, bigger, animals. “Nothing gets by you, Riven! I envy your hunting skills- you’ll have to show me how to do it one of these days.” He shook his head hopelessly, “I can’t hunt worth a damn. I’ve only ever caught fish- and they are quick and slippery little buggers! I’m lucky if I can hang onto one long enough to scoop it out of the water and kill it.”
“But anyway,” he said with a nervous laugh edging his tone- talking about killing other animals suddenly made him feel uneasy. Though Misto would like to learn how to hunt so he could help feed his family with emptying his pockets of his hard earned schillings, he always felt a little guilty about suffocating or killing the fish he caught with a powerful blow to its body or swift killing bite. They were living creatures after all and deserved some sort of love and respect. Misto pushed the thought out of his mind. He didn’t need to dwell on this now- did Riven say she was going to Rithengar? Misto hopped on the balls of his feet, “oh~ That sounds interesting! Rithengar you said? Isn’t that the land of the humans? I’ve never seen one before? How big are they REALLY? I hear they are awfully loud and smelly and clumsy. I would certainly love to see one for myself….” He trailed off, his thoughts running wild with the things he heard of the humans above. He never felt he had the authority to go before but now his curiosity was peaking and he was older and had his own independence. Before if he tried to go, he had to deal with his mother’s wrath but now, he felt the inclination to run straight to the realm above and never look back. In a playful but hopeful tone of voice Misto grinned, “so- fancy a traveling companion?”

Riven raised her brows. "I'd be more than intent to show you how to hunt sometime, if you're willing to," The she-cat voiced with a smile - she hadn't ever tried teaching a cat how to hunt, but the wanderer had a feeling that it might be pretty great - after all, she was really thankful to her father for teaching her how to hunt properly.
"Ah, fishing - I've never really succeeded at fishing," She said with a chuckle - that was true, she'd tried fishing, although she was never properly taught how to do all that stuff, so the wanderer pretty much failed at it.
Riven grinned upon hearing the excitement in Misto's voice. "Yup, that's right! Rithengar's the land of humans, and I'm gonna go up there," She said with the same grin, and nodded keenly as he offered his companionship. "Of course! Let's go? I'm ready when you are."
