"Oh my creator that smells good." A certain tiny blue gray she cat purred dreamily, sliding around the kitchen as if she'd done it dozens of times before. Which she had. A few royal helpers were also inside, preparing different food preserves and spreads for the festivals a short way from the palace. Skipping up to the large oven, the small feline slipped on her mitts, opening the large heated cave. Thick heat pooled out, along with a strong scent of bakery goods, more specifically cookies. A large sheet of them was immediately in front, nestled next to a couple of fruit pies. "Oh~ Apple and raspberry. Good choice." Calamity praised the help, her merely nodded appreciatively. Reaching in slowly, the Queen's Maiden pawed at the sheet before pulling it out, making sure her naked fur didn't touch the smoking hot metal. The sound of the sheet hitting the table was soon to be heard, along with the oven closing. "You know, I think I might add some frosting. And maybe a blueberry in the middle. What do you guys thing?" Turning up to the other felines present, she was rewarded with a few nods and quiet agreements. "Then it's settled. Now all I have to do is find that frosting." she mumbled, moving over to the cupboards.
Half an hour later, a dozen and a half cookies were all neatly frosted, 3 blue berries topping off every one of them. Calamity puffed her chest, clearly proud. Though her fur had a few stains of frosting on them. "Yes, I am and excellent cook. Yup yup." the queen's maiden purred. A pot of tea was boiling over a fire next to the stove. Almost done. The young feline took a large plaid linen from the closet, folding it into one quarter of its original size and stuffing it into a picnic basket. One of the royal helpers took the large tea pot from the fire, pouring half of it into a smaller container, handing it to her. "Thanks so much." Calamity replied to the kind gesture, earning a smile and "of course madam." The smaller kettle was also put into the basket, another smaller linen covering it before the basket was closed. Gathering the cookies into a pile, Calamity stuffed all 18 of them into a sack, tying the tassel tightly and swinging it over her shoulder. The picnic basket was then slid onto her arm. "Well, I'm off. You guys have a good afternoon okay?" the small blue gray she cat mewed, waving off to the helpers. They called their goodbye.
Calamity exited into the garden, looking over the pretty flowers and bushes to find a proper spot to hold her picnic. One came into view, a nice little setting by a hydrangea bush, a stone bench nestled in the middle. The queen's maiden dropped the sack to the ground, and opened her basket. The linen was pulled out, spreading all four corners into a large blanket like sheet. She settle in to the stone paved ground, placing the tea kettle in the middle. Plates and cups were also thrown out, 5 different sets in total. Settling down herself, the youthful feline opened her cookie sack, pulling out 15 cookies. She divided them by 5, and placed 3 cookies on every single plate. She didn't pour the tea quite yet. No. She had to wait for her guests to arrive. Not that she'd made a list of who would come that is. This was merely for anyone who could smell the scent of her cookies and wanted to join her little tea party. "Hopefully I won't be alone for long." Calamity mumbled to herself, beginning to pour herself a cup of tea.
