Her dagger safely hidden out in Witch's Forest, Emerilla entered the festival fields where lots of cats were chatting loudly and the light from the lanterns made everything bright glow brighter. Her midnight blue eyes widened with surprise. She'd never seen the feilds look so.. beautiful.
As she walked through the crowd, she looked at all the different stalls. Hit The Bottles, Hot Food Stall, Cold Food Stall, Plush Toy Stall. Everything made Emerilla's chest lighten and her worries lifted from her mind immediately. Everything looked so fun and the food so delicious. Emerilla licked her lips at a nice looking hot-dog being handed to a kitten. But she didn't take it. She vowed to herself she would behave in these few festival weeks. she even decided not to take any contracts during the festival. She had enough schillings to last her, as long as she didn't spend it all of food, toys and games in the first few days.

A dark silver figure wandered through the crowed stands and roads. As crowed and as drunk the festival was, the sage could not help but to feel relaxed and happy about the events and booths open for the kingdom. His golden gaze scanned each stand. Knick-knacks, jewelry, toys. All were well made and tempting. He pushed away and scanned the many faces in the crowds. None were very familiar. His long tail's tip dragged in the dust of the road. Francis was tempted to go spend a couple of schillings on a book, or a star chart. But why? His study at home was cluttered with books on every topic, and he had more star charts than most would have in a life-time. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a she-cat. Ordinary in every way, but why did she stand out among every other cat? He turned to her, he saw her lick her maw and noticed a hot dog being cooked behind her. He padded to the stand. "Can I get two of those please." He order from the vendor while pointing to a long grilled hot-dog. His mouth watered. He handed the vendor a few shillings and took one hot-dog in each hand. He came around to the black and white she-cat. "You looked hungry." He said warmly as he offered her the meat. He gave her an inviting smile and waited for a response.

Surprise was the given expression. Not once has anyone offered her, Emerilla Loncarre the Assassain, food out of no where. "T-thanks. Hold on," she then took out a few schillings from her coin pouch and then held it out to the tom, "have this. You didn't need to spend schillings on me." She took the hot-dog and replaced it with five schillings. She looked at it with a worried face, hoping it was enough to pay off the debt. Then she looked at the kind tom once more to study him. His gray and white striped fur seemed to glow in the festive lantern lights. His yellow eyes stood out even more. "I'm Emerilla, how are you today, kind sir?" She asked before taking a bite from the hot-dog. It was as nice as it looked and smelled, maybe even better!

"Nice to meet you." The sage spoke kindly."I'm great. Name's Francis." He introduced himself warmly. He held out his white paw, the bracelet he wore swinging with every movement he made. He noticed the she-cat take the hot dog from his hand and replace with 5 schillings. Gratitude welled up his chest. He shook his head and handed the gray and white she-cat the money. "Keep them. You probably have a better use for them than I do" He spoke with kindness in his voice. His yellow eyes trailed to the stand with the star charts. They tempted him, he pulled his eyes away from the stand and over to Emerilla who seemed to be glowing under the lights and lanterns of the festival. He saw how the she-cat enjoyed the hot dog. It certainly looked and smelled delicious. He brought it to his maw and took a bite. The warm flavors danced across his tongue.
