"An ale please, thanks," the sandy brown she-cat muttered the order to a nearby tavern-hand, slowly making her way up to a free table - and she practically fell onto the chair, letting a sigh escape. She'd just returned from the forests of Rithengar - she'd been out hunting, of course, and it had been exhausting - plus, jeez, the weather was kinda still warm.
Thanking the tavern-hand as he brought her ale, Riven placed a coin in his paw and took a couple of sips from the liquid. Well, perhaps ale wasn't exactly the right thing to satisfy thirst with, but hey, who cares.

Theus sat in a corner of the shadowed bar with an ale. His ocean blue eye watching for any signs of the usual criminals that he caught here on occasion. Hoping that today would be the day he got the pay rise he needed to keep maintaining his burned eye-socket, that laid underneath the bandages covering his face.
Eyeing the room, he noticed a sandy brown cat. Maybe he could talk to them while he waited for his chance? Sniffing, Theus took a swig of his ale, eyeing the room one more time. Before standing to walk towards the cat's table.

After finishing off the majority of her ale, the she-cat let a sigh escape and leaned back into the chair, making herself more comfortable at the table. Blinking for a couple of times, she realized that the consequences of waking up before sunrise every day five days in row were starting to show. But work and hunting had to be done, duh, and there was nothing much she could do about it.
Taking another sip from her ale, the sandy brown she-cat scanned the tavern for any familiar faces, just like she usually did - just a habit of hers. It was always nice meeting up with her friends - and meeting new cats was also a thing she was quite fond of. Soon enough she spotted a tom, seemingly heading into the direction of her table. "Greetings," she spoke greeting addressed to the feline.

Theus nodded in greeting in return as he put a deft paw on an opposing chair. "You wouldn't mind if I took a seat would you?" He asked, the corners of his mouth twitching into a non-existant smile. All Theus wanted was company, a rarity due to his status as a killing beast and tragic tale for the Legionnaries ears. He didn't want pity, he wanted friends and he constantly covered his eye-socket to hide from pity-filled eyes.

Riven instantly noticed the tom's eye, but decided not to focus on it much. "No, not at all, join in," she grinned, gesturing at the chair besides her. She always loved company and meeting new felines of course. "I'm Riven Lockwood, a wanderer," she spoke a short introduction, just like she always did. Well, after all she couldn't think of anything much to say about herself.

"Uhh... Theus, a wishing to be retired soldier if they payed me more." He smiled, shaking the sandy she-cat's paw loosely as he sat down in the opposing chair, his nose barely wrinkling at the stench of spilt beer and salt that washed over the inn, as he placed his ale on the table. His tail flicking somewhat happily despite the slight look the she-cat gave at his bandages.
