History: While some are born into difficult lives of poverty and suffering, Krysanthe was born into a lovely lifestyle -- money was never short, although they weren't necessarily rich, food was always available, and most things she and her siblings wanted.. they were given, provided they didn't want anything too ridiculous. It was, in most cases, an easy life. She was born with one brother, to a retired Legionary Duke and a Dancer. The first couple months were quite simple; uneventful, really, until her mother vanished, along with her brother. One day they were both present, and then the next Krysa they were not. Their fate was unknown.
Concerned for his mate and kit, her father gave it his best effort, but neither was refound. There were no clues as to what had happened to the -- and so, he picked back up, and set to raising his remaining kit himself. It really was not an easy task for a single father to raise a she-kit; especially not one so spirited. Or more likely.. dealing with the spirited side was a breeze, but turning her into a proper lady.. was troubling, but the two carried on their lives quite well, really. It was later found out her mother had left, taking her brother, for the human world, unsatisfied with her life as it was. The months passed, and they grew close; she was undoubtedly a daddy's girl, and proud of it.
In these months, she learned quite a bit, both from being properly educated as any growing kit should to help them survive the world, and from learning of her father's life, and learning all he could teach her. He had been a Legionary Duke, and before that, a Legionary Assassin. His skills had always been clear; and his career only ended when he was crippled. While the damage wasn't life threatening, and didn't make him incapable of doing things himself, it did make such occupations difficult, and he had decided retirement was the best option, once his family was financially secure. He had not lost his passion, however, for such careers, and filled much of the bonding time with his daughter with tales of his life.
It really wasn't long before she was trying to fill his pawprints. As she grew, her father passed on much of what he knew about weapons to her; training her in combat as much as he possibly could. Long hours were spent, going over fighting tactics, weapon types, and on occasion, even practicing together, when his damage leg would allow. He saw the potential in his kit -- she had all his willpower and determination, and her mother's streamline, dancer-like built. She had decided her path in life, and he encouraged it as strongly as he could without influencing her too much, least she decide she want a different path for her life.
Through all this, he still encountered one issue with raising a she-kit by himself: preventing her from being too much of a tomboy. As luck would have it, he eventually met a lovely she-cat and grew close to her. Likewise, Krysanthe seemed quite fond of her, too -- and in no time, the she-cat was teaching her to be a proper lady. Time passed, and eventually Krysa found herself as a Legionary Asssassin, and before long.. she also found herself alone. With his kit raised, her father decided he wanted to travel and see other places -- not to mention, get engaged to the lovely she-cat he'd met. So, off they went, leaving Krysa to start her own life.
It soon turned out.. the house she'd spent her kithood in happily.. was rather lonely without her father around. Nontheless, she carried on -- until one evening she stumbled upon the slaver's buildings. How exactly she came across it, she never explained -- perhaps someone had informed her, or she'd just gotten lucky. While not the type to be interested in owning slaves, she felt drawn to the place; and to the poor imprisoned cats within. After convincing the slaver she would buy something --er, someone-- she was taken on the 'grand tour'. It was a saddening place, really. And one cat in particular was saddening -- a dark colored male who seemed weak and broken down. Nontheless, she finished her 'tour' before returning to him.
He seemed doomed to death; and she bought him. Neither the slaver nor the slave seemed to understand it; but she did. He needed help. So, she took him -- with no intentions of using him as a slave or treating him cruelly. Time went by, and he recovered. Life carried on, though she soon found herself feeling more affection towards him; and he seemed to be rather.. anxious than normal. Finally confronted, he confessed he loved her, and she returned it. Life has since been fairly normal, and much less lonely. |
