It was almost midday by the time Ailana had started her trek to the hot springs in the west quarter. The Walk all the way there from where she called home, Witches Hollow, was pretty long, and normally she would have only made it during night for fear that someone may recognize her as a witch. She would have most definitely been persecuted if that was the case. She had left her purple hat back at her home. The Main Coon mix hated ever having to remove her hat, but what could she do? Anywho, she was only coming over here for one thing, A flower. A flower that she always had in stock. The flower, called a beebalm, was one only found at the edge of the hot springs. Ailana figured it enjoyed the heat of the spring and the fresh water it supplied. She used it mostly in attempts to craft a healing potion. The one potion she had yet to craft was a healing potion, but along the way she also had discovered some other sorts of potions that used Beebalm. It was a bit of a necessity to have these flowers, which is why she took time out of her busy afternoon to go all the way over here for a simple little flower. Ailana kept up her pace quickly.
Around sunset she had reached the warm and effervescent hot spring. The way the water bubbled and the way the air seemed to be calling her to just sit down and put her feet up was tempting. It was also dangerous, though. She disliked having to stay in a populated place for a while. She tore her blue eyes from the tantalizing steaming water and started looking around for her little pink plant. She glanced around and didn’t spot any of the familiar pink flowers. She could have sworn there were tons over here. She scratched her head and furrowed her brow. They were here a couple of weeks ago, and she knew they were still in season. She stepped forward and parted some bushes spotting just one plant. She delicately removed the bright pink part from the rest of the plant, stared at it for a moment and sighed. It seemed like someone, or maybe something had killed off all of her needed plants.
She probably should have kept looking, but after the long walk the whole thing was—to say the least—disheartening. She sauntered over to the smooth stone and plopped her feet down into the warm waters while she examined the spikey flower bud. She’d have to go find another plant, hopefully one with the same medicinal purposes, or maybe she could just find someone who may know where more are? She let out an annoyed huff and slinked down into the water. Now up to her neck in the natural spring, she closed her eyes and relaxed, waiting for someone to maybe come along and assist her.
