Riven came here now and then, after a hard day of work when she just wanted to chill and rest in the warm waters of the Hot Springs area. It was a really nice place for a bath, you know.
The sandy coloured wanderer wasn't wearing her weapons today, for after all who could possibly disturb her in the Hot Springs? And of course, she still had her claws. Better that than nothing. Setting her stuff on the ground next to the water, Riven removed her cloak and sat down on a rock, letting the water touch her feet as she did.

Today was really just another usual day for her. She enjoyed her craft, but it could really be tiring sometimes, espeically if she decided not to take any breaks during the day. By the time that she was done, her paws were sore and she didn't really want to walk all the way back home to relax. She had decided to dance out in the eastern quarter. She had been in the northern quarter for a while now and wanted to try out a new location to see if she would attract anymore attention. Today seemed like a good day to her. She was at least able to bring some smiles to the faces of the cats that lived around the area. It was always a joy to see what she could bring to the ordinary life of the kingdom.
The she cat thought for a moment about what she should do and soon remembered that there was the hot springs nearby. It was still a bit of a walk, but not too long of one. She really didn't want to worry her mate though. Maybe she could stay there for a bit to at least relax her paws before heading home. She headed in the direction of the hot springs, taking her eyes to the sky. She had to make sure she was not staying out too late. She knew she was getting close when she could smell the odd scent in the water. To her surprise, there was already another cat here. Not wanting to disturb her, she took to one of the nearby pools and carefully stuck her paws in. It felt so wonderful, almost as if a weight had been lifted off her.

Bragi sighed contently, slipping deeper into the spring as the warm water seeped into his neck fur.
He'd been enjoying the calm serenity of the Hot Springs for the better part of the afternoon, his weary muscles relaxing after a long night of playing. The previous evening at Seascape had been one to remember, but his brain had been fogged and achy when he'd woken up that morning, and since he was off for the day, a trip to the Hot Springs had seemed ideal. His sash was carefully folded and sitting on a rock above him, his lute and other possesions safely tucked away at home.
Bragi closed his eyes and let the water engulf his whole head, sinking beneath the surface for a moment before emerging, whiskers dripping. When he opened his eyes again, he noticed that a she-cat had appeared, her sandy coloured back turned away from him as she dipped her paws into a nearby spring, cloak pooled around her tail. He raised a brow, and watched her for a moment, admiring her lovely form. He turned away when yet more movement caught his eye; another she-cat had appeared. Such luck, Bragi thought to himself.
Leaning back against the stones and stretching his arms out to place them up on the ledge, he watched the two she-cats lazily through his lashes, a grin plastered on his face.

Not unlike the others, Fennel had come to the hot springs in search of a relief from the day's work. The long-furred she-cat felt that after such a long morning in the kitchens, it wouldn't hurt to soak in the warm waters for a while. So, after checking that the shop was closed tightly and her weapons we tucked soundly beneath her straw mattress, the baker had wrapped a warm loaf of bread in a cloth and headed out to the springs. Upon her arrival, she noticed that three other cats seemed to have had a similar idea - none of whom she had met before. Deciding this was a good opportunity to get to know more of the citizens of Gweillan, she removed her tattered apron and set the loaf atop it. Hesitant, she wondered whether she should take off the bandages that hid her burn scars; feeling self-conscious even though it had happened almost a year ago, she decided to keep the leather bound around her arm rather than invite conversation about the cause. "Good afternoon," she greeted the three felines. "It appears we have all had similar ideas for today. I hope that you don't mind if I join you?"

As seconds went by, she started having that feeling.. as if somebody was watching her. But nobody had been there when she walked in, or at least that's what the she-cat thought. Peeking over her shoulder, she could spot a tom bathing in a nearby pool, of course watching her and seemingly enjoying the view.
With a small smirk upon her facial features, the sandy coloured wanderer winked. "Greetings," she called over to the brown tom, now letting her entire body slide into the warm water. Oh, how she loved the feeling - it really helped her stiff bones after a hard day of work.
Upon the arrival of another she-cat, followed by another feline, Riven started thinking that they could all have quite a good party here at the Hot Springs. "Hello there," she spoke a greeting addressed towards both of the she-cats. "Sure thing, why would we mind?" She grinned at the feline, leaning against the edge of the pool.

Iseret had to admit that with the way the water felt, she didn't want to go home, even if her mate was there. Oh how she wished Azael could read her mind from the hot springs and come join her. It would be just perfect. She couldn't believe for a moment what she was even thinking. How could she...? She didn't want to leave her mate at home alone worrying about her. Who knew what he would do if she was out for too long. There was no telling with him in the mental state that he could sometimes be seen in. Her eyes seemed to drift towards the sky often, making sure that it was not getting too late out. Maybe she should have gone home first, and left a note or told Azael she would be coming out here. Guess it was too late now.
The she cat looked down as she noticed a tom had come into the picture. Guess she was so distracted by her thoughts that she didn't even notice him come in. Looks like what was going to be peaceful was going to be more like a gathering. It was not like she minded anyways. It would be a ggreat chance to get to know some more of the cats. It was a shame that out of the cats that had showed up, not one of them was someone she knew. Her attention turned to the sandy she cat as she greeted her and another she cat. She turned her head to notice the cream colored one. This certainly was getting interesting. She gave a smile to the sandy one and nodded. "Greetings." She began to take off some of the ribbons that she was wearing before sliding into the water. "The hot springs feel so wonderful today."

As the other cats visiting the Hot Springs made their presence known, Bragi turned around and climbed out of his pool, picking up his sash from its resting place before sauntering over to the spring that the sandy coloured she-cat had slipped into. Placing his sash near her belongings, he stretched for a moment, perhaps not out of necessity but more for the she-cats whose company he now shared.
Standing over the pool, Bragi squared his shoulders and flicked a few droplets of water from his whiskers before dipping a paw into the water, testing the temperature. "I hope you do not mind if I join you," He meowed pleasantly, lowering his body into the water after finding the temperature acceptable. "I could not help but notice that you were alone here." After submerging his torso completely, he turned towards the other two cats. "Please, you are most welcome to join us here; the more the merrier, wouldn't you agree?"
With a nod, Bragi turned back towards the she-cat sitting across from him. "It is an honour to make your acquaintance," He meowed, extending a paw in greeting. "My name is Bragi. I'm a Bard here in Gweillan." His paw found hers in the water and his raised it to his lips, kissing it lightly before letting it fall back into the spring. "And you are?"

"I most certainly agree," Fennel replied, returning the sandy she-cat's smile and setting the still-warm loaf of bread atop her apron. Across from the she-cat was a dashing tom who she had heard introduce himself as Bragi. Dipping carefully into the pool, Fennel sighed inwardly at the soothing warmth that crawled up her aching spine. It had been a long day indeed.
"My name is Fennel, as long as we're introducing ourselves," she added. The creamy tabby lay her arm awkwardly to the side, resting it on the edge of the spring. It would take forever to dry out if the leather bandages got wet. Looking over to the pretty feline in the other pool, she grinned. "You're most certainly correct about the waters. They're simply divine." Gliding her free paw along the surface, an idle expression crossing her face.

Riven gave a small nod, a grin forming on her face. "I certainly don't mind, in fact I'd actually love some company," she voiced, his gaze following the tom's movements as he slid into the pool, followed by the cream-colored she-cat. The wanderer's grin grew wider as the tom planted a small kiss on her paw. "The pleasure is all mine," she voiced.
"The name's Riven, Riven Lockwood. I'm a wanderer," the she-cat spoke a small introduction, leaning back a little more in the water. Ah, it surely felt good, especially after such a long day. "Oh I know, right?" She grinned, letting her eyelids close for a second.

Iseret watched as the other cats got comfortable in the waters, especially the male. She could see that he wanted to get to know the other felines seeing he was the only male. She even caught a hint to the offer of having all of them sharing a pool. As nice as it would have sounded, she did not really want to get involved with the flirty one. She already had a mate and she really did not wish to come home with another male's scent, especially from a place like this. She really did not wish to have Azael upset at her, or worse jealous. That would be the last thing she needed added to their relationship. She smiled to the tom as she gave him a small wave. "Thank you for the kind offer but I think I would rather sit over here."
The she cat looked to the other cats as they began to introduce themselves. Once they were all done, it was her turn. She realized at that moment she was still wearing her cross necklace. She carefully slipped it off before turning her gaze back to the group. "My name is Iseret. I'm just a dancer." She nodded to the other she cats as they commented on the waters. For a moment, she closed her eyes and sank a little into the water, taking a moment to relax. She soon turned her attention back over to the other she cats, though kept quiet, not really all too sure what to say to start a conversation.

Bragi smiled up at Fennel as she joined them in the pool, and waved a paw when Iseret declined his invitation. "Think nothing of it milady, you are most welcome here nonetheless." Bragi sighed again and sunk deeper into the water, speaking lazily as he did so. "I must agree with all of you; the springs are quite serene and very soothing." He listened contentedly as the she-cats finished introducing themselves, and then smiled lightly.
"Fennel, Riven, Iseret. You all have the most unusual names," Bragi remarked, leaning back against the rocks. "Do not take offense of course, I meant no disrespect. They are lovely and unique, much like their owners." He meowed with a wink. "So what brings you all here on this fine day? I myself sought a way to rest weary mind," He looked around at the other cats, a sheepish smile on his face. "Forgive my manners if any of you were among the crowd last night at Seascape Tavern. I'm afraid my mind was clouded with a great deal of mead, perhaps more than is usually acceptable."
As Bragi spoke, he let his eyes drift from one she-cat to the next, gauging their reactions and trying to read their eyes. Iseret seemed a bit withdrawn, and while Bragi was a flirt, he was not an overbearing tom. It was clear she was uninterested in his advances; whether that was because she did not find him appealing or because she was already taken, he did not know, nor was it his business. He nodded at her, a gentle smile on his face.
The other two cats were a completely different story. Fennel did not seem to mind his casual looks and remarks. Riven took them all with grace and gave as good as she got; her seemingly innocent winks and alluring charm did not go unnoticed by Bragi. He flashed them both a flirty grin, eyes bright with intrigue.

Fennel suppressed a laugh as she caught sight of Bragi's flirtatious grin. Even though she didn't believe he had any real interest in her, she decided to play along and returned the smile with one of her own. It's not like it was going to hurt anyone, and besides, he was undeniably a dashing tom. Remembering back to her childhood, Fennel was reminded of the many times she caught her brother flirting with other young she-cats in the market. It was amusing, and childish, but made her smile nostalgically; her memories lapped at her consciousness just as the warm spring water did now. So caught up in her memories, Fennel almost didn't catch his inquiry.
"Working all day does a number on your back," she replied idly. "I'm simply here to untwist the knots."

Riven let a silent sigh escape - it could have been quite amazing laying here in the water with her eyes closed all day, but a conversation seemed to be ongoing, and she had company. Opening her eyes up once again, she she-cat chuckled at Bragi's comment on their names. She'd never really thought about her name before - but indeed,
What the tom said about being in the Seascape Tavern actually caught her attention - she was a frequent guest at the taverns, in fact she visited this particular tavern almost every day, for it was located right next to her house. And, well, she wouldn't oppose to a mug of ale or perhaps some whiskey and company. "Well, we should all be allowed to have some fun from time to time," she shrugged.
"Same here," Riven glanced over to Fennel with a slight smile. "Working or traveling all day can be quite exhausting sometimes," the wanderer let a silent sigh escape as she stretched, then leaned back into the warm water.

Iseret gave a gentle smile over to the tom as he examined her. It was clear to him that she was not interested and she was sure he could guess that she was already taken. It would just be better for her and her mate if she just stayed in her own little pool. That of course didn't mean she couldn't continue with the conversation. She was close enough to hear what all the cats were saying and was sure they wouldn't mind her sharing her words to the others. She wasn't sure what the other she cats thought about her sitting in the pool alone, but it was not really her place to ask them. That would just be rude.
The she cat first heard Bragi's comment about all their names. She had to agree with him that they were a bit unusual, especially her name. She didn't take any disrespect from the comment and was sure that he other she cats wouldn't either. There was nothing wrong with saying that their names were a bit odd. The next part that she had caught onto was him asking what they were all doing here. It seemed the common answer was coming here after a hard day of work. She flicked her tail a bit in the water before she spoke. "Dancing all day really makes my paws hurt a bit. It's nice to relax here before going home."

Bragi listened to each of their replies, nodding as they spoke. "So we're all here for the same reason. Rest and relaxation after a harrowing day of work."
He turned towards Iseret then, and beamed at her. "And did I hear you say that you are a dancer? I would love to watch you sometime, if I may be so bold. I mean no offense, but as a fellow entertainer, I am always looking for partners to dance and sing with." He winked at her then. "Do not worry, I don't bite. Believe me, I wouldn't want an angry tom on my heels, though you are quite lovely." That was a shot in the dark; he wasn't 100% sure she had a mate but it was a good guess.
Bragi then looked at Riven. "Might I ask where you have wandered Miss? And Fennel," He meowed, glancing at her. "What is it that you do? You spoke of hard labour but what is it specifically that fills your days?" Bragi sat back, waiting their replies.
