The sun burned down over Gwellian as Auri sat on the front-door steps outside the Brittle-House Inn. A large wooden crate on the knee's of her hind-legs as her unseeing eyes scanned the walking crowd. Inside the box was six Holocos Squals, mewing and chittering as they played, making Auri smile.
Holocos, or "Trouper Hounds" as some called them were a Trouper's best friend, and they could always tell if you were one. Maybe it was something in the blood or something ancient. But in the end they listened to Auri and she them. The fact that the mother Holocos was allowing her to give away her children was a feat in itself. So here Auri waited, a box on her knees as she waited for someone to speak up from within the passing crowds.

Tybalt was just out for a stroll, as he usually did when he had a thumping hangover. THough this one wasnt to bad, now. He took a deep breath of air and sucked it into his lungs then expelled it again in a massive POOF of air. though it wasnt that much of a good day, in fact it was pretty gloomy after what had happened last night. there had been a break in and much of the fancy wine (the stuff he kept for the rich, stuffy lords and ladies) had been spilled! HE wasnt happy about that AT ALL.
Being tall and... well... more than bulky (Fat, in other words) it wasnt hard for Tybalt to walk against the flow of the crowd, which was what he was doing now! everyone else was HEADING towards the market and the centre of the town while Tybalt was heading away, more towards the closest tavern. Which was Avery's.
'oh Avery.' he thought 'My one and only competition yet your mead is so sweet, how do you do it!'
There probably wasnt be anyone else at the tavern, most people went there in the evenings but Tybalt felt like a drink now, even if he still did have a bit of a headache. but then a good drink always helped a headache. 'A tot of whisky!' as his old mum would say 'warms the soul and fixes all ailments, especially mine.'
So When he arrived at the Tavern he nodded to the cat on the doorstep politely and strolled to the door. he pulled it open and was about to announc his arrival when he did a double take. It wasn't every day that you saw a cat with Troupers for sale now was it. Well he assumed they were for sale and there was only one way to find out.
"'Scuse me miss.." he said, shutting the door and turning around. "... Are those trouper pups for sale? OH! there livly little things arn't they?" he said this as one had just made an attempt to climb the side of the box.
(is it okay if i say what some of the pups are doing? or shall i leave that to you?)

Auri smiled sweetly from under the curly hood of fur covering her face, as she put a paw in the box, allowing the Sqaul to run up onto her shoulders. "Yes mister, they are for sale." She smiled, giggling as the squal on her shoulder chittered in her ear almost like she could understand them.
Auri turned back to the bulky calico, her silvery eyes watching him as she held up the box with thin arms. "Would you like one mister? Brittle-Bones' to old to have one." She giggled in her airy voice; Thinking of how Avery had been trying to shoo the tiny balls of fur off the bar.

"hhhm what?" said Tybalt. HE looked up from the small box of squeaking fluffballs of fur. "what? own one? well... I shouldnt really..."
HE started to move his paws towards the box, then stopped and hesitated. "oh, may I?" he said, gesturing at the box, "Could i take a closer look at them?"
He shouldnt... He didnt have time for a pet... did he? well if he didnt go out drinking so early then he would have plenty of time! and he was a bit lonely. Being the cat who had to kick you out of having drinking fun at midnight didnt make you that popular. so maybe...
(so sorry for the SLOOOOW reply!)

"That's fine." Auri smiled as the squal on her shoulder ran back into the box, making chittering and chirping noises as the squals rolled, a mass of fur playing and chittering inside the wooden box. As Auri lifted the box with lean, grey-furred arms up. So Tybalt could reach the squals without bending over.
"Their really smart creatures you know..." Auri mumbled, as her mind picked up a scattering of Tybalt's thoughts. "I've seen them open boxes and bottles..." Auri smiled, remembering how Avery had chased the little creatures around when they opened one of the many bright bottles he owned.
