Sky smiled as she entered the quest hall. The castle air immediately warming her up, for it was cold outside, like it usually is during November. She liked the gala right when she entered into the guest hall. Her green eyes scanned the enormous room, finally she spotted a table piled high with pastries and punch, she took off to get something to eat. She would like a nice warm, pastry to warm her up. She loved eating them anyway. She dodged past dancing couples and cats, and finally reached the table.
Sky's took her place in the line, right behind a grayish she-cat with a pretty costume. She looked friendly enough so Sky decided to take a chance, and maybe befriend this random she-cat. She side stepped a little, and took a deep breath. "Hi." she smiled at the she-cat.

The festivities were starting to take off, and Calamty felt a small smile stretch from beneath her net mask. This time of year always seemed to bring even the shyest cats out of their shell, joining in on the fun of the night. She hadn't seen Diablo yet, making her assume he'd caved and decided not to come. She didn't blame him. Even if you were hidden behind a mask and an extravagant costume, cats tended to put two and two together if you're a black cat with devil red eyes, a short tail, and an anti-social air about you. Well, her husband wasn't going to ruin her fun this night, though dancing with him would of been nice. She tightened the tie that held the ribbon to her waist, and walked into the line of pasteries. The palace cooks had asked her for some assistance earlier that night, and it was evident everyone one present was enjoying them. She tried to hide it, but there was no denying the wave of pride that rushed through her as cats walking away with their treats smiled and hmmed in delight of the taste. 'One pastry wouldn't hurt. Maybe I can sneak some out and give em to Diablo. He always likes my cooking.' The blue gray she cat mused, moving closer to the table.
A warm body behind her alerted her that some one had gotten in line as well, and the small greeting given made her turn around, addressing the other with a smile. She was greeted with a brown tabby she cat, with a cute, short black dress with flowing sleeves and green embroidery at the ends. Her arms were wrapped with a thin black lace, and her mask was large and feathery. The queen's maiden spotted bright green eyes behind them. "Oh, hello." she greeted back, smiling wider. Thiss she cat looked nice enough, and the one thing parties like this were always goof for was making friends. "Getting a load of the sweets as well. The cooks certainly put their blood and tears into this feast." the blue gray she cat purred, holding back a snicker. Oh, she should realy stop while she was ahead. No need to brag. "Enjoying yourself?" Calamity mewed again after a bit of calming.

Sky grinned as she sensed the she-cat's thought. Dream casting was quite alike with Mind reading, especially when someone had a high level like herself. OK, fine. Maybe she was being a little too proud. She examined the she-cat , she had a net-like mask which cast shadows over her face, though what Sky could see of it looked kind. The cat's dress was just as pretty to, with a transparent skirt over a skirt! She loved examining other cats' costumes. Giving her ideas of other costumes she could make for the next year. She looked at the pastry table suddenly, realizing the line had shrunk critically and, to be honest, she was looking forward to having a pastry in this cat's company. Her mask was making her face a little hot, so she blew into it, ruffling her face fur. She rolled her eyes at herself.
Sky grinned at the she-cat. " same with me, i like a pastry or two at a party. Especially a huge and special one like this." she smirked as she heard the she-cat's thoughts again. " And how do you happen to know so much?" she teased lightly. she hoped the cat wouldn't be offended or anything, but she couldn't help herself. She though she could practically see the she-cat stifle a snicker. "Yes, very much. Even though i arrived only minutes ago. What about yourself?" she smiled genuinely. "I'm Sky, by the way. Sky Starlock." she held out a paw. She knew that usually a gala like this was, maybe for keeping your own identity a secret. But that was from cats you knew! Sky doubted that that rule applied when meeting new cats!
