Fennel Owens struggled across the Festival Fields, a rickety cart rattling along behind her. It had been a lengthy trip across the city from her home in the West Quarter, and though she was strong, the endeavor of lugging the equipment here had her breathing heavily. Locating a flat stretch of grass that seemed relatively firm and still in view of the road, the tabby feline determined that this would be an adequate place to set up her stand. Dropping the cart roughly, the planks and materials that it contained clattered noisily. Fennel wiped a paw across her brow, letting out a deep exhale before rubbing her sore paws together and skirting around to the side. Leaning over, she assessed the container's contents, and after a moment's pause, confirmed that nothing was missing. Nails, hammer, wood, folded lengths of tattered cloth. Everything she would need to construct a stand to sell her goods at the Firelight Parade.
Humming quietly, she began to take armfuls of wood out of the cart, setting them on the ground nearby. A dusty autumn scent lingered on the air, rustling the dying grass like a musical instrument accompaniment to her mysterious tune. The melody was that of a song she had heard a performer playing in the market a day before; its spooky notes fit the mood of the holiday perfectly. Fennel was no singer, and although she was seemingly alone, she did not dare take a stab at the words. Every so often she glanced over at the distant road, wondering if she would catch sight of any other citizens of Gweillan. It sure would be nice to have some help putting up this stand. Her tired muscles could manage—of that she was certain—but she definitely wouldn't decline if any cats wandering up the road happened to ask if she would like assistance.
Clutching the weighty hammer in her paws, she awkwardly positioned two of the boards and began to nail them together. Here goes nothing.

Renly was returning from her home, having stored away her costume for the grand Gala in a safe accessible place so that she could return the morning of the celebration and dress herself before shuffling of to the beautiful, well decorated and not to mention best hosted event of the season. For now though, the long haired maine coon wore only her belt, its strap pulled up and over her shoulder which held her ivory bow and it's arrows slept docile in the quiver that lined the belt on the left side awaiting their time for appropriate use. The wind picked up a for a moment, blowing leaves about the path and ruffling the female's fur, its chill nipping her skin that hid under it. The day so far seemed to be cool , chilly with the slight breeze, but it didn't bother Ren to much as she quite liked this time of year.. the summer was always so hot, with her fluffy covering. It wouldnt be long before the cat was coming up the path towards the other pale colored she-cat who seemed to be also setting up for the events to come in the next fews days, a grand time for everyone it seemed. As Grimm drew closer, her keen eyes would notice that the female could probably use some help, in the time it took to reach the merchant she had decided she had really nothing better to do today.
"Morning! Setting up for the Parade?"

<i>Morning! Setting up for the parade?</i>
Raac, who had been unsuccessfully practicing his archery skills with a useless cheap arrow, before he used his nice ones, heard the she cat call, though he of course didn't recognize the voice- but he assumed from that she had someone she was talking TO. Raac didn't know very many individuals... In fact, he really only knew Lies and Haven... Should he get to know more? He was exhausted anyway, so he put on his poncho and boots back on, having taken them off during the work in case he accidentally ruined them- since they where everything to him- and trotted off to where he saw the two- both she cats. One DID look like she was setting up for something at least. Immediately, because one who obeys the gods know you got their favor by helping others out., bounced out and went to help the one she cat (Fellel). "<b>Here let me help you out with that.</b> He meowed, mimicking her in taking wood out and putting it in the place he supposed was the desired spot.

Fennel looked up to the sound of a voice, smiling as she made eye contact with the long-furred feline. "Indeed I am," she replied cordially. "I don't suppose you'll be attending the parade?" As if out of nowhere, a younger tom appeared, and plopped down with an offer to help. Fennel laughed at his enthusiasm, yellow eyes twinkling. This tom reminded her a bit of her little sister, who had always been eager to assist Fennel with the baking at the shop. Those had been the good days. How she missed little Thea... Pushing her reminiscence aside, she offered him some nails to get started with the boards. "Well, I won't turn away a helping hand, especially one with such a hankering to work!" she said. "You look like you know what you're doing, there. May I ask whose company graces me on this fine autumn day?" The question was posed to both Renly and Raac. A cool breeze swept by, ruffling her fluffy fur and bringing tiny scraps of colored leaves across the field. The orange and yellow-hued fragments danced on the wind as if they were alive and giddy as the citizens were for the coming festival.

"I am Raac, I am new in town on a quest... but I also have a tiny fortune telling booth. It seems the gods, something most of you odn't beleive in here I have found recently, grangted me the gift to mildly read minds... but I'm not that good at it so I thought having a booth might help. It'll be free if either of you want to stop by once this whole party starts." He meowed politely, continueing to work away in whatever place he thought most helpful. The hardwork felt good, and he could just feel the gods being pleased as they looked upon him doing this, making him purr and whistle a happy tune as he went.

Renly seemed to simply watch for a moment, a curious gaze held on the most enthusiastic tom cat who just seemed to jump into work and spoke of who he is as the she-cat confirmed her own question, moving onto a introduction. "Grimm, Nice to meet you both!" she gave a little nod of a bow before turning to Raac. " Mind reading? Would love to see that sometime! Well.. not see but yeah, ya'know what I mean." The long haired cat chuckled, waving off her rambling with a paw. "I don't do mind reading, but something more complex.. Here let me help you." Ren moved to lean against a near by tree that overlooked the both the pale colored she-cat was building. Taking off her gear and setting it down, the Maine coon would afterwords look up and began to conjuring her own special ability, her eyes gaining a faint glow as she pointed at a board with one paw and with the other to some nails, the objects then gaining a green aurora as they lifted from the ground and floated with a bit of grace next to the eager tom cat, guiding it into place with the nail hovering in the spot it would need to be hammered in. "Wack away my boy!" her voice was gently but excited, loving to show off her telepathy.
