The long strings of wheat and barley on the earth swayed and swished with the wind, forming a sort of synced dance. Brick house windows were beginning to close, the lighting of candles showing through. A bluish gray body sat in a grassy field just below the farms, watching the sun as it sunk back into the ocean, clearly going in for a nap. The dark she cat sighed, watching as shades of red and purple splashed over the sky, painting the earth in a pinkish orange glow. She loved watching the sun set. Loved watching it rise as well. It had been quite a while since she'd been able to fully experience the waking of the large fiery ball. The best place to observe it was out side, in some secluded spot in the east or west quarters. Where the palace wasn't ubstructing the view. Looking out through a window never gave her the same appeal. But that was a bit of a journey for some one of her size. Way to far for her to make a trekk in the wee hours of the morning, sleepy and stumbling. She'd be taken down before she could even cry for help. It was only the farmers that would ever wake that early, and they surely weren't strong enough to take down a thug or some robber. She was lucky enough that the sun setting usually meant large crowds, rushing to get home. In the chaos, Calamity would be able to get back to her place of employment before anyone got suspicious. It wasn't often she left the palace, and when she did it was only for an hour or to, to walk or to do what she was doing now.
The final crown of the sun was the only thing visable above the sea coast, and the maiden finally stood up on her hind paws, staring as it sunk totally into the ocean. Darkness followed closely after. "Better get home." she though, pulling her hood over her head. She made her way up the hill, away from the wheat and barley fields. The nice wife of the farmer had let her sit out their only if she made her son's some cookies ever couple of weeks. Waving a good bye, the maiden hopped back onto the conglomerate road, reverting back to quadrapedaled.
